Yes, don't think I've ever heard anything quite like it!

@VHSRallies yea the closest is probably Kankkunen using the Finnish "sumppu" note with otherwise English notes. Or I recall Katsuta using some Finnish notes as well. Especially when with Finnish codrivers

@@JanneLaahanen The reason why this was the case was because Jari Matti originally that season had a British co-driver Carl Williamson but he was side-lined after a big crash on the Jim Clark Rally which wounded Latvala but left Williamson with a broken pelvis so Mikka Antilla who was co-driving for Tapio Laukkanen that year stepped in from the Manx International onwards

Ash wasn't a public stage, so the location wasn't published anywhere. Could be found if you studied local maps closely though! Loved the Tempest. Fantastic event and a huge shame it stopped running.

Ah, good to know. I hope - I think - I'm right in positioning the Ash Ranges stage near Pirbright, because that's where the area known as Ash Ranges actually is.
