How would you adjust the timing if it was knocked out well the heads and rocker arms and push roads where being out back on a 4.3 v6 out of a 2011

you have to take the oild pain down and then take the water pump off and then take the timing chain cover off and look at it it will have 2 little dots on it they have to line up little one up and the bigger one for the cam down then turn motor over few time make should they stay in time if not have to do it agian and if the timing change loos i would buy a new one there cheap i hop the help you

Can you change the timing chain without dropping the oil pan?

Yes if you just Los it up and let it hang down little The front of it has to be down little to do it

Hey, is the tension on the timing chain seems very tight??? I installed that same chain on my 1996 4.3 and the chain is tight, no slack at all...

yes it should be tight it will get lose when it were in i was tight and it seem to run good

Why is your engine so stiff, no plugs it should rotate easy

this motor was drain of all oil for long time so it was little hard to turn over but has soon has i put new oil in it and turn it over it spine allot smother thanks for watch and the Qu.

Ok. I was thinking the same. Way too much force for plugs out scenario.
