When you reached in to start the engine, it looked like the needles on your gauges in the cluster were in some odd positions, even for a vehicle at rest. Just curious, do your speedometer, fuel gauge or temp gauge all work OK? I have the same vehicle, and I had to change the servo motors. It was a little bit of a challenge for a labor perspective, but it’s a cheap fix parts wise.

I had a 2004 Pontiac Montana (near identical) the fuel gauge died young. Had to count mileage. Just got the 2004 Venture and the temp gauge needle is just about upside down.

I had to use a couple. This dude didn't show that though so I had to make 2 trips to advance auto parts 😅

Yeah. I though we were doing it “right?” Need to take it to a service station with an AC refrigerant recovery machine. They might even want to to it for you, since I assume it can be reused. Some cities/counties have a deal with local shops to safely dispose of things like oil, coolant, refrigerant, etc for free since they don’t want you pouring it down the drain (or releasing it to the atmosphere).
