in this video, I was going to replace the window motor, but it wasn't bad...it was the center console switch. I took the switch apart, cleaned it, and it worked like fine. So, before you replace yours, I can explain how to test it.

My passenger side window is laboring to roll up, so I'm assuming I need to replace the motor. How exactly did you test the switch first? Great video for explaining removing the door panel BTW. Thanks!

@@williamderenzo5388 it has been a while since i took it apart and we dont own the mr2 anymore. But after you gain access to the window motor, you can use a 12V battery to apply direct power to the motors' terminals. (I used a battery from a cordless drill) One direction will make it go up, the other for down. If your issue is only going slow, then it's not a switch or connection issue. It could be the motor or just needs some white lithium grease on the friction parts of the guide. If you are interested, i still have the motor i didn't use.

@@cross-eyedcatfishing6952 Thanks for the info. I went out and checked my window (I've kept the window lock on for the last 3 months) just after I messaged you. It did seem to labor some going up. I did it over and over and it got better so I think I just need to oil it. I'll be sure to let you know if the motor does go and we can talk about yours. Thanks!

Thanks, great video. I also have to replace a passenger window motor on my 2001 MR2 Roadster ( uk ) , have you uploaded a video of that process too ?. I am a novice but eager to have a go. Thanks again

Sorry Greg, no video for that, but I did remove the window motor before I tested the one that wasn't working. It was a challenge to get the cables rewound back into the old motor. Good luck!
