Just had a look at some pics...so that's a one peice mold so as you say nothing to remove.... so to get something similar you'll need to add on. So perhaps have a think about making a panel out of thin aluminium sheet, cut to a design of your choice and form around the corner edge of the armrest in a similar way to my MR2. Then wrap and cover than and perhaps tiger seal bond or 3m tape to the door armrest to hold in place?

@DadDiaries4 жыл бұрын
Haha no worries, it's a good simple fix, did you use the stock o ring or a Viton one?
@unicorntelecoms43874 жыл бұрын
@@DadDiaries got the OEM one from toyota, I had already replaced the rocker cover gasket - but still had some oil everywhere - local garage says "its standard on old cars" my response being this is not a standard old car :))
@DadDiaries4 жыл бұрын
Yeah mine has since given easy again so I'm changing it out again shortly with a Viton one. My son is painting me a rocker cover so I'll change it when I do that. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

Welshy if you mean the material I used to cover the armrests I got it from mr2 roadster recycling. There is a link in the description :)

2:40 holy crap you could have just traced in the corner and wasted so much less paper
@DadDiaries4 жыл бұрын
Yep but when it needs to be centre of camera and easy to follow and when you have a roll of 100m of the stuff which is actually just masking paper for car painting its not a problem 👍
