RIP Mike Leach. I used to really enjoy watching his offense and I'm a Husker. They were explosive. My condolences go to his family.

@jasonrogers6454 which nebraska coach did you play for? I'm asking because you think little of coach leach. He helped make qb's better. He brought a program to national prominence. If you never played coach sports,you just shown people what your about. Talk noise on internet because your not going to see people going against you in live situation.

@@jasonrogers6454actually it is. What he did at tech was unbelievable. He could do more with 2-3 star recruits than most other coaches.

@@christopher7952 What a weird, rambling comment. For starters, I enjoyed the hell out of this game at the time. I’m not a fan of Nebraska. Very much the opposite. Anyway, what both you and the other guy who just responded failed to understand was that my comment was far more a jab at Texas Tech than at Leach. Saying that someone is the greatest Texas Tech football coach ever is not automatically impressive, because the rest of the lot mostly suck.

OC for this productive TT team (nicest people in TX are in Lubbock) was Dana Holgorsen who we are hoping help NU's offense starting this week vs. USC. Nov 16 2024

Leach teams always have such a crazy high ceiling and low floor week-by-week. You never know what you're gonna get.

Yeah it seems like this team ended up not being that good.

Dislike the Huskers as I'm happy to see them get their butts kicked anytime b/c they ran it up on so many other schools. However, I have to give you MAJOR props for showing this nadir in Nebraska football. I argue this was the game that changed UN's philosophy on wanting a new TV deal in the Big XII which led to them eventually leaving the conference b/c they couldn't beat anyone in the South after this game.
@sorney984 ай бұрын
Not beating South schools? They beat south schools, not often but they did beat them. But wasn't tv, while money was key, other was stability. That showed with Colorado, Missouri, Texas A&M also leaving. Then later on Texas Oklahoma so Nebraska made right call to leave the conference

@@sorney98 Nebraska had no problem with the TV when the conference was formed in 1996. It was based on national TV appearances. UN record against Big XII South schools. 1996 3-1, Overall 11-2 1997 4-0, 13-0 1998 1-2, 9-4 1999 3-1, 12-1 2000 2-1, 10-2 2001 3-0, 11-2 2002 1-2, 7-7 2003 2-1, 10-3 2004 1-2, 5-6 2005 1-2, 8-4 2006 1-3, 9-5 2007 0-3, 5-7 2008 1-2, 9-4 2009 2-2, 10-4 2010 1-3, 10-4 Wheels started to come off in 2002 and fell off in 2004. They never should've left Solich go as Nebraska is now an afterthought it what was the B1G West. Program hasn't been the same. They won three games v Big XII South schools not named Baylor after 2003. Nebraska started with the whip hand when the conference was formed, but when they lost it they wanted a different deal- equal money. At least (I believe) KU and Mizzou voted for equal money when the conference was formed to begin with. Yea, they made the right move by going to the B1G, but not for the reasons you say. It was about money- equal shares. You were right (eventually) with UT and OU leaving. TAMU left b/c UT tried to control everything in the league. Mizzou was just happy to have a different date anywhere. CU left b/c (again) UT did not want an equal share with everybody else in the Pac 12. That at least was the right (non)move for UT and OU.

I think Bill Callahan is a better coach than Mike Riley or Opie Frost, I know big accomplishment there, but what he did to Beau Davis was shameful.
@sorney982 жыл бұрын
Problem is he got over his head, his big problem wasn't recruiting and getting guys, it was developing and using correct guys. Keller killed Callahan's job along with Cosgrove's defense. Had Ganz and new DC been there he could of had a chance

Why are non-Husker fans posting here (why do sports fans post msgs on the boards/pages of teams they don't like?)? Why is this video of N.U.'s worst loss posted on "Husker Vault"?
