Right now the date and year is 2024. With month being April 12th. To obtain in this reset your year to 2019 and the day date will be squared up for a few more years. This is because we are in a leap year now. And the Calendar on the Avalon only went to year 2021. Good Luck.

To set the clock for 2024 you need to use 2 different years. On Jan 1st use the year 2014 for jan.1st -feb 28. After feb 29 you need to reset on mar 1 to 2015. Problem won't reoccur for another 24 yrs. Hope it helps.

Having a 2004 model with 193,000 miles I noticed this year my calendar doesn't go to 2022. So, all I did was change the year to 2005 and now the days are correct with the date. Who cares what year it is, besides if you are still writing checks it takes most people about 4 months to write the right year down? Problem solved for me. Try that. LOL

I have my Dad’s 2004, with a spoiler in back which was a dealer installed option. I noticed the clock situation, so now every January 1, you’ll have to find the previous year that matches, but you’ll also have to check for leap year. 2012 was a leap year, but 2023 is not. So at some point there’ll be a year you won’t have, and you’ll have to adjust again on Feb 28. Sorry if I’m being Capt. Obvious here. 😀

I looked it up and 2011 is the matching year to 2022. I THINK it was supposed to be a leap year also but I don't remember. I just remember it said every 11 years were the same??? LOL

My 2002 stops after 2018. I guess they decided to add a couple more years for the newer model years. I guess Toyota didn’t think people would still be driving these in 2023. At this rate, ill still be driving mine by 2033 😂

@@potboy1734 I have my trucks and hot rods for running around depending on the job. I got the Avalon about 7 years ago when my aunt passed away. It had 15k miles on it. Like new! It gets better gas mileage than my big block 68 Vette so I use it for parts runs and long distance drives. Been from San Diego to Oregon and up the coast for my "James Dean's Last Drive" quite a few times (check out the videos on my channel). I have also been from San Diego to Dallas and back. No problems and comfortable drive with the leather seats and all the comforts. I need to change 1 of my 4 O2 sensors. The dash lights bother me but it runs fine and I think I have more power! LOL I figure 2 or 300k miles should be doable. Try replacing your air filter with a K and N air filter. It will cost around $50 maybe but you will get better performance and maybe a hair more mpg. Plus you will never have to replace your air filter again. Just rinse it out once a year. Remember, it's better to KEEP it up than FIX it up!

My toyota avalon doesn't have a rectangle screen. It has a square one with no buttons. It has a small remote control by the stick shift and it's not working do you have any idea why? And is there another way I can operate the screen it's stuck on "press enter"
@SanDiegoHotRod2 жыл бұрын
It could be dirty buttons or a bad fuse. The first thing I would do is disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and then re connect it. The next thing I would try is checking all the fuses inside the car and inside the engine compartment. I would also try spraying compressed air in and around the remote control buttons. Use the canned air like the ones to clean out your computer or keyboard. Then press each button rapidly 10 times in case there is a bad connection inside the remote. Good luck.

@@celizabethteal1444 I got my Avalon from my aunt when she passed away 6 years ago in AZ. I did have to replace my rear speaker. The paper or glue dried out and it started making noise. It took me a while to find a decent replacement speaker but I ended up buying this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013C9ZAK/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?th=1 The Pyramid WX85X speaker has a plastic cone which helps in the heat and sunlight. I had to cut the factory connector but was not a big deal to swap the speaker. I put it in 5 years ago and it still works great. For $50 I would rather replace this whole speaker in 30 minutes with a new speaker than spend $15 for a "repair kit" they sell online. The buttons for the left and right heated seats are on the dash just under the radio controls. They look like a seat with wavy lines underneath. You can also set the radio to show song info on the radio and so on. I just learned that a month ago after 6 years! LOL Try to get a factory manual for the car if you can. there are tips and tricks in the manual that will help maximize the fun and options the car has. I have been building cars for 30 years and I tell all my clients it is easier to "keep it up" than "fix it up." You still have lots of miles left on your car if you take care of it. Especially with city driving you can change your oil every 5000 miles. It makes it easy to remember when to change your oil - 150,000 - 55,000, 60,000 and so on. Another option that may cost a few $$ but it worth it is to replace the air filter with a cotton K&N air filter. www.summitracing.com/parts/knn-33-2145-1/make/toyota/model/avalon/year/2004 For $55 you get a better air filter, a couple more hp, a couple more mpg and you never have to change it! You just rinse it out once a year.
