We take a bone stock 2007 Mustang GT and install a few bolt-on modifications that will completely transform the performance and sound of your 2005-2009 Mustang GT 4.6L 3-Valve!

I made the same power with my '07 GT. I had stock mufflers with a catted X-pipe with a JLT intake and a SCT 93 tune. My best ET at Cecil was a 13.20-106mph

one thing I don't quite understand is why are the hp and torque gains almost the same as just the cold air intake and tuner I watched another video where they reviewed the tuner and they got almost the same gains but with half the parts

Antonio Flores unfortunately every dyno is different.. my scat stock was about. 397 hp on a windym superflow dyno And 422hp on a mustang dyno. I would pay to much attention to those numbers if your tune is on point you will definitely feel a difference 👍👍

Question= I recently bought a very nice 05 GT 4.6. I took the BBK cold air package off, and put the stock setup back on(prior owner kept stock parts in box in trunk). I noticed just after the Mass airflow sensor, there is a metal cylinder sleave with filament. What is that?

from what I've read if u have a v6 with true duals, like my 08, u can attach an X or H pipe on, I'm going to do an H pipe, and i already have aftermarket axelbacks. as far as welding or clamping, i would say thats personal preference unless your setup requires otherwise. hope this helps!

I love my 05 bought it with hail damage so I gotta decent deal. Seems my throw out bearing is fried so new clutch time. Idk which clutch I should go with because outside of a cold air intake im not sure what upgrades it has. Recommendations? Better than OEM I thought stage 1 organic but im not sure lol

I have a 2007 Gt Convt. I'm not interested in putting tons of money into it but was looking at the roush air filter. I saw a vid talking of why those arent good and showed tons of dead insects and dirt. Now of course it depends how you clean them but what's the good and bad? my 07 gt mods go past this....mods include bbk LT headers and x-pipe slp loudmouth axlebacks bbk TB jlt series 2 CAI accel super coil on plugs and of course bamas infamous 93 race tune. my car puts down to the rear 340 rwhp and 344 torque....ive taken out 5th gem Camaros some turbo Hondas( who really knows if they were turbo) some 350 and 370 z some other random cars..even a pulled a bike on the highway (sure it was a 600 class) only thing that matters: driver and how the car puts the power down

We're also talking about a motor that's quite a bit bigger than the 4.6 used in these Mustangs. Ford's equivalent sized motor? With a supercharger, on a stock tune and not bolt-ons...650 HP. (2013 GT500)

AM and fellow stang owners, I need advice. Love AM and all the parts they offer. I have an 08 GT, automatic(I know I know). I have some things in it but no heavy mods: -C&L Racer CAI,95mm MAF+Bama X4 Tuner -Ford Performance alumn. Radiator -Ford Performance SVT cooling fan -Edelbrock water pump -Mishimoto 160 degree thermostat No overheating probs btw, just felt like getting things cool before anything. I got a P0430 code, changed the o2 sensor and code came back 2 days later so must be my Catt Sooo what catted pipes should I get if I plan on later adding short tube headers?? Main problem is: I live in California so how do I stay street legal? Any advise is MUCH appreciated

and ever since the 99+ cobras when fords had to do a recall cause they claimed to have certain hp, ford has been under rating the HP to the crank. so it has more then 305.

Trying to learn more about cars here, so I'm going to sound terrible but I have to start somewhere. Why when they're advertised at 300 hp does the dyno only register just over 250? Is that misleading or is it just the difference between total hp and hp to the wheels? Thanks in advance!

Genuine Gents sounds like you got it right at the end. It's just the total hp from the engine. Not to the wheels. They hook the engine up to a dyno and crank it up full blast with no car attached. So it doesn't take into account mechanical loss of hp, weight etc.

It always sounds much quieter on camera. Ik some one with this setup, and long tube headers and a big cam, it was obnoxiously loud, I had the roush extreme catback, and that was about as Loud as this set up. Maybe a tad but quieter, but it was a DD, so I didn't want anything insane. When I sold it the next owner took the cats of, and it was pretty crazy

No it will not work with long tubes. These are the standard length that are to be used with shorties. They do make a long tube kit though

The general consensus with 3 valves is right around 500 is the limit. People have made more but we've kept our vortech blown '06 around 500whp for a couple years now and it seems to be holding up fine. -Justin

Cams, cold air intake, Throttle body, Throttle Body Spacer, ignition coils and spark plugs, high flow cats, axle back mufflers or mid pipes, bigger fuel injectors, Mass Air Flow Sensor, intake manifold, charge motion plates. The list goes on. I was a mechanic for 15 years, Ford Certified, ASE Certified and SVT Certified. I've seen pure synthetics (Oil, transmission and diff fluid) create anywhere from 5rwhp to 10rwhp depending on the application and how well you maintain the car.

A tune also...That's the most important part. Without a custom tune or a dyno tune, you won't get the full potential out of that 4.6 V8.

The new V6 Mustang makes 305 at the crank, this is making 294 hp 309 tq at the rear wheels. My guess is the V6 will be around 250 - 270 hp at the rear wheels. Just a guess...

Your statement is a joke! So apparently the LS1 is the only engine that has power loss? The 2005 GT stock 5 speed stock is 267 rwhp & auto 245 rwhp. The 3 year older 2002 Z28 is making over 300 rwhp, plus the Z28 is almost 200 pound lighter, the Mustang's aren't competitive until we add bolt ons. I chose the 2005 GT over the f-bodies & GTO, due to one thing you can run the GT with reg unleaded in this hard time it helps to have options at the pump.

buddy learn before you speak, ls1's make on average about 300 rwhp! about 360 or so at the crank, they are very underrated, so just think next time you try and correct somebody like that, and just 1000$ in bolt ons you will see an easy 350 rwhp or so, try doing that with a little 4.6

I have a 07 Mustang and I think these cars 🚗 🚘 🚙 are so poorly put to gather the carpet is short and doesn’t cover the underlay and around the seat runners cut poorly. The seats aren’t covered in leather. The wiring is brittle. All the interior is plastic if you’re in a car accident and the car 🚙 court fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 there would be toxic fumes coming off the car 🚗. It doesn’t have steering wheel controls for the stereo to name a few. It’s poorly put together

No- it means that if you don't run a tune your car will not run due to the change is MAF housing size. There are intakes where no tune is required but the 'Race' system from Airaid is not one of them. You don't have agree with their effectiveness but this intake does in fact require a tune to operate properly. Hope this helps Brandon. -Justin

Well if you're going to talk about stock horsepower to the crank you might as well include torque. When you mod your car, you're going to get much more out of it its a v8. And if you go with a v6, you'll never get that deep growl of a v8. To each his own though.

For reference the 2014 gt has 420 bhp but probably has like 380 hp to the crank. Plus the old 4.6s have that nasty old school sound

+Anz Solo my 2011 stock put 371 hp to the wheels....it was a stout car from the factory....it put more down than the 2013 camaro ss I traded for it with a 6.2 liter engine....it put down 360....still respectable but the Camaro was also about 200lbs heavier
