Sir thank you for the great video, I just purchased an 06 boulevard c50 having the 650 i wanted to upgrade to a bigger bike. I bought one used but not really running great,I have great compression but no power(I'm missing the intake cleaner box, ordered, waiting for it).. Could just missing the cleaner box would cause power loss?

It helps a lot. What size allen wrench fits the axle? I am buying a $10 tool online, but I would've rather have gone to NAPA to get the allen wrench.

Do I need to lube or grease anything before putting the front wheel back on? I am planning to change the front tire myself but had the rear one done at Suzuki about 600 miles ago and the mechanic told me that he greased or lubed some stuff. Can't remember what it was but the bike runs better than before.

I'm sure you just misspoke when you advised putting the spacer on the caliper side. Pulling both wheels tonight. Thanks again for the videos.

I don't get it. The spacer go on the left side? On the right side is the caliper and the speedometer? Please some help.
@rhbraly
@rhbraly 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right, I was thinking the same thing. The spacer definitely DOES NOT go on the same side as the brake rotor. It goes on the opposite side.

Dude, my question is not related to the video but I have the same bike here in Brazil. For instance, when you shift from the 1st to 2nd gear, do you hear a big noisy near the gear pedal? That happens only when I am accelerating and shifting the gears fast. When I shift the gear more slowly, or timely, that noisy doesn't happens.
@Poweraddicts
@Poweraddicts 6 жыл бұрын
My buddy no longer has that bike. All the times I have ridden it, it was quiet with no shifting issues. When shifting gears fast, if you don't have the timing just right you will get noises because the gears aren't synchronizing as fast as they should. Those gearboxes weren't made to shift fast and hard like a sportbike.

Going to a one rotor in the front, Mine has two rotors on each side. Can you just take one off with no mods or do I have to buy some type of adapter or anything?
@Poweraddicts
@Poweraddicts Жыл бұрын
I'd leave both rotors for better braking.

+sheryl applewhite Re: LEDs I read a lot of reviews on LED replacement bulbs. The reviews were either great or awful. It seems that these replacements either line up well with your headlight reflector, or they just don't. I bought a cheap unit off eBay ($30) as an experiment. After only a few rides, I'm pleased with it so far. The light throw is decent and it doesn't appear to be pissing off oncoming drivers. The light colour is perfect. Good luck! cheers

I've got LED light bars on my Jeep. Havent ventured into LED headlights yet. So you comment you left here makes me curious to try them on my Shadow. My buddy no longer owns the M50, he traded to a Harley Road king. So no more Suzuki videos.

I bought some great LED signal/riding lights from Custom Dynamics. Problem was that they made my halogen headlight look yellow as hell!
@Poweraddicts
@Poweraddicts 8 жыл бұрын
Yep .. LEDs run in the 6 - 6.5K kelvin color spectrum (bright white). Standard halogens run in the 5K (yellowish).
