My 2005's wheel bearing is going out too! I'm working on gathering the resources, knowledge, and of course, parts! Thank you for the thorough help with all this!

Wow, okay, so, further background: I already have all four struts that Ive been planning to replace for a while, and so I was thinking, based on all the pounding every other video or writeup indicated would need to occur in close proximity to the cv boot.... I've gotta say, I'm very much digging your plan of attack. Admittedly, my car has been in Wisconsin winters every year of its life, so theres gonna be more rust, but I had already been considering just buying a pair of used steering knuckles from the parts yard. If I were to do that, I suppose I'd still have to get new splash shields (they're getting pretty worn out) and harvest or acquire new dust caps... Anything else I'm not thinking of? Or do you think I might just be able to pound it out the same as you (once again, a LOT of rust under there)?

Thanks for the great video. Camera work is excellent. Very clear. I looked for the specs in the comments, but I couldn't find them. Where?

You must be from Arizona or something since that's not going to happen in the Northeast! Not getting it out without a press or a whole lot of pounding and heat!
