Dude ”thanks", because of your bright suggestion to jack up the engine so much so the bolt will come out from the bracket so it snapped my other mounts... 11:22

Did this actually fix the issue? I compared the movement after you changed the front engine mount with the old engine mount at the beginning of the video and it looked like it moved the same amount.
@BjornV3 жыл бұрын
It did actually do fix it. No more 'clonking' noise, And I had like a metal scraping noise from the front right, that was gone as well.

Great video! What about the mount in the back of the engine?
@BjornV3 жыл бұрын
I haven't had the courage to change that one yet. I think the exhaust had to come off, but those nuts are tight as ****... That's something to do when I get my car lift in my garage ;)

@@BjornV I've replaced the rear mount, yes you drop the Y pipe to access 3 mount bolts from the bottom, a bunch of extensions to reach the cross bolt from the drivers side wheel area. Then laying on the top of the engine with a long arm to reach in from the top to pull it out. Not fun but doable.

Why not change the rear mount as well? How can you know the rear needs replacing?
@BjornV3 жыл бұрын
I didn't replace that one because its a bigger job. Removing/loosening the subframe and exhaust manifold. My manifold bolts are really tight so I'm not tackling that job yet. Also, I have no noise coming from it so no need to replace yet.

I periodically spray them and any and alll rubber components with 303 Protectant , to resist drying out and cracking .

Hi does a bad passenger side motor mount affects the steering wheel and alignment? Thank
@BjornV2 жыл бұрын
No it shouldn't, the engine is not connected to the suspension. It can however give a kind of shake, because the drive shafts are connected to the wheels and are not in line anymore.

Im sorry, did you say LPG system? As in propane or natural gas?!
@BjornV2 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed, LPG liquefied petroleum gas. This is commonly used in Europe on big petrol engines, or cars where they want to pay less for petrol. In poland there are loads, loads of cars running on LPG. My civic coupé used to run on LPG as well before the engine swap.
@ebutuoycensorship80123 жыл бұрын
What's the lpg perform like ?
@BjornV3 жыл бұрын
I like it, it's good, if I go full throttle or towing up hill, it switches to normal fuel. Other than that, it's cheap :p My coupé used to run on LPG before I swapped it, and it had 270000km on that engine, 200000 on LPG ✌️

I took a video last night of my engine moving both foward and reverse. Tonight Im going to jack up the back of the motor a bit, I have a battery powered gun and I bought some flexible urethane from home depot and a clear long hose so I can fill the rear mount up with flexible urethane and not have to take it off. The rear is a bitch.

So your making it a solid bushing, I used to have inserts form innovative mounts like that for my oem mounts on my coupe. If it works, why not 💪
