Tired of your boring old "Fisher Price" style key fob? Give these 2 fobs from Boost Auto Parts a look.
In addition to the 9G Impala, these fobs will work with any GM vehicle from roughly 2006 to 2014 that has a key fob with the FCC ID of OUC60270. If your fob looks similar to the "Fisher Price" fob, these should work.

I took a q-tip, dipped it in a little bit of nail polish remover, and rubbed off the "hatch" button markings on the lower left. More for aesthetics than me being confused as to which button to press 🤣..

Personally I like the old style fob because it reminds me of the 90's style GM key. My father had a 1997 Sierra for about fifteen years up until the transmission broke, I loved that truck more than I loved him.

Nope, they're on a completely different frequency. I purchased an aftermarket flip key for my old 12 Impala that somewhat looked like the 10th Gen fob: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poC7lKWphayKh9E

How about closing the sun roof from remote?

That would be a negative, Ghost Rider. I have heard of aftermarket modules that plug into the OBD port that allow you to roll up the windows when you lock the doors with the remote, but I'm not 100% sure they even work with the Impala. And if they are compatible, no telling if closing the sunroof is an option..

I know in the 9th gen Impalas, mine is a 2012, you have to buy a programmer to replace remotes, I was able to program 3 of them and it worked great, so I was wondering about the ignition keys, I found a page online that explains how to duplicate a key in this car using different key sequences using the original key. I followed these instructions to the letter and it does not work, so either this page is B.S. or I have to go out and try it again to see if I missed something, if anybody has any input on this I sure would appreciate it

Can u still cut out the key to make it fit on the ignition

That would be a negative. The newer GM keys are etched in the center of the flat part, not cut on the sides like a traditional key.
