2006 Acura RSX Type-S DC5 Build // No-Start Repair // Idle Issue // Tein Coilover Installed (Ep 2)

In this episode of this series, we will start by dealing with our no-start issue, an alternator replacement. Then we are getting back on track with our build by installing a set of Tein Basis Z coilovers. And finished off our video with repair of a high idling issue due to a bad Idle Air Control Valve (IAC).
In the next episode, our team will jump to the interior and give this DC5 a full make-over.

@@danielkaminske5048 Iknow what that's like, here in Canada I have a turbo 2002 RSX-S on about 6.5 psi getting about 260whpand about 200wtq on the stock engine and clutch and on the stock pump which I changed.

Seeing you guys working on these cars takes me back to what seem like the good old days. Miss my RSX as well as the 95 integra. I was just at the Acura dealership earlier today looking at the new Integra and really like it. It's definitely nothing like the coupe integra but still a pretty nice car.

I know it is a bit late but Advance Auto actually sells Denso alternators, though they usually have to be ordered. Rarely do the stores have them in stock. I checked the website and it shows it as available. This is my go-to if oem is priced too high for my customers.

A friend taught me that you can pull the alternator through the passenger headlight opening on the core support. Just learned a new removal strategy!

I took off the bumper and headlight and moved the T bracket forward. I got my a rebuild alternator from a local shop here in Canada.

That's hilarious. @6:22 I use a piece of old sheet rock to protect my radiator 😂 Sidebar edit: couple questions: If the alternator didn't remedy the issue, what could it possible be the issue? what would be the next step? Hopefully this gets to you guys. Thanks!

I now raceland coilovers it's midrange from 450 euro to 800 euro I think it is European but they sell them also in north America they exist some time.
