I was at my aunts house. I was 8 we jist got ice cream and made it back for the tie up. We watched it on the smallest tv you can think of vut I'll never forget the image of the perfect walk off

Placido Polanco won ALCS MVP. Curtis Granderson, Craig Monroe, Brandon Inge, Alexis Gomez, also had amazing ALCS, worthy of ALCS MVP Magglio was cold in the first 3 games, but made up for it all in this fourth final game. Kenny Rogers pitched a gem in game 3 This is why ive never been a fan of giving MVP in a best of 7 series if it ends in 4-5 games

The first FOX MLB broadcast without Steve Lyons in the booth. He was fired after the previous game for making on air remarks about Lou Pinella’s spanish descent, when he used an analogy about finding a wallet. And Lyons replied by saying on live TV “I can’t find my wallet” He was fired after the game for those remarks. Jose Mota, the Angels radio commentator, replaced Lyons for this broadcast.

I remenber watching this ALCS and As messed up this game. They had this game 4 won up 3-1 with Haren pitching against Bonderman, who Oakland hit well against him this game. Why on earth the As brought their closer Houston Street in 7th inning with the game tied at 3-3? Especially before 9th inning when Ordonez hit the walk off. Terrible managed game from Oakland. I forgot who even managed the As this season.

They brought in their closer in the 7th because the Tigers had the bases loaded with only one out. You don't need your closer to pitch the 9th if you're losing. P.S. it worked.

Unfortunately the stupid Cardinals ruined everything which NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED if Beltran didn't watch strike 3 fly pass him in NLCS game 7!!! Im still pissed my Mets didn't get to the WS this year. PLUS it would have been good to see Kenny Rogers Vs his old team for first time since he walked in the series clinching winning run against the Braves 1999 game 6
