2006 BMW X3 E83 Transfer Box Actuator Gear Replacement

Today we are replacing the actuator gear on a 2006 BMW X3 E83 its fairly common for these plastic gears to wear out on the X3 E83 and X5 E53.
Also the faulty gear can put the 4x4 inactive light on on the dash.
Tools needed,
- 3/8 ratchet
- 3/8 E11 socket
- 3/8 medium extension
- small hammer
- Small flathead screwdriver
- Small pick
- Can of WD40 of other lubricant
- A new actuator gear
When we say tighten it up if it needs torqueing that is down to you to find the necessary settings not us, as all vehicles are different.
