2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR Tribute Restomod & Engine Sound on My Car Story with Lou Costabile

On "My Car Story" we're at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis WI on 2-21-19 at the World of Wheels car show.
We're looking at a 2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR Tribute Restomod in Blue Paint. This car is equipped with a supercharged V8 engine creating 850 HP.
The car's Owner is Al Schlafer. Al’s has this car since 2007. He shares the car was in an accident and the front end was pretty messed up, however he and his Son Dan decided to build a car “Carroll Shelby” would appreciate if there was a 2006 Shelby GT500KR, and this is what they came up with.

Beautiful car. I can appreciate that the owner never refered to the car as a legit super snake.Also he probably built this for a lot less than a real super snake cost.I know what they go for because I am lucky to own 2 super snake's. A 07 427 edition convertible super snake then I have my 10 grabber blue Super Snake packing 900hp straight from Shelby American

868 rwhp ? Yeah ok. I find that difficult to believe looking at the Supercharger and having built multiple 5.4s including Supercharged 5.4s and 5.8 mod engines. The cams sound stock and that Supercharger doesn't make enough boost to get 868 rwhp. That would make that a 900 + FWHP 5.4 . The blower and engine sound like a stock 2007-2008 GT500 5.4 . In fact thats exactly what it looked like. And they only made 545 FWHP or 624 FWHP which is about as much as can be made with the displacement available using that Supercharger and stock cams

That’s a Cervini body kit. Only thing fiberglass is the hood. And for 800hp. Pretty sure he is fibbing quite a bit. I have a 800+ hp 3v and it takes more than that to get there.
