I watched the above video before I started working on my 2002 Century. My engine light was/is on and reading the codes I got a P0446. The car has 105,000 miles on it. I went to Auto Zone and bought the Vent valve sol. I checked the valve by using jumper wires and verified the valve closes when 12 volts is applied to it. I did a voltage check on the connector and found no voltage, with the key off, and 12Vs with the key on. I installed it and hooked up the vent hose, and started driving. It did not fix the problem. I uninstalled the vent valve and found that the valve does not close when the key is on. ie I lowered the valve and blew thru it with the key off and on, I was able to pass air thru the valve under both key positions. What am I missing?

Good evening, great video. Sorry for the question, but do you have a PDF file to study this subject or something explaining about the oscilloscope signal? Normally we have this type of fault here in the workshop and some of them we resolve by directly placing another new part on the ecentric axis sensor, we have also found the same fault with an internal origin in the Dme, we just replaced the item and it was ok, I'm looking for literature to find other ways evaluating the same problem, it would be very helpful to be able to better understand these signs.

I'm praying I can get a reply after seeing this vid is 5 years old. 2010 escalade, random no start, 20 codes about canbus etc if I can get it to scan. Multiple shops, thousands of dollars. I'm an ex mechanic and I need to know what this software is!

So the main solenoid was already replaced.. I noticed the wire melting but didn't break like yours, so my next steps would be checking behind the fuse box UH and replacing the solenoid itself

I had the same problem in a05 c240 after i did change a bad noise ac compresor that didn’t vacuum the sistem so all I did put ac gauge then i see the pressure in around 500 and supposed to be around 250-300 then I drain some air from the red hose until came down around 250 after I did that the fan starts working normal

I know this Video is 5 years old, but I have to comment. Your diagnostics is incorrect. You had the probe connected on the positive side of the solenoid which will always be at 12V (positive voltage level) and you will not see anything. If you actually saw it drop that would be a major problem. You should of had the scope probe connected to the negative side of the solenoid since you already confirmed that you have positive feed to the solenoid. Second thing is, The solenoid resistance is probably fine. Those circuits are current limiting, hence the fuse.

I have a problem with my 2016 Yukon. I replaced the steering rack motor and installed a new steering angle sensor. The steering wheel turns smoothly to the left but has a little bit of resistance when turning to the right. The issue occurred when I reset the steering angle module using my launch scan tool. When I start the engine, the steering turns by itself to the left completely and stops. Please help. I need you advice.

Hey man, I have a 08 pathfinder. It will crank like it’s trying to start but won’t start. There’s no corrosion or buildup in the radiator cap but after removing the cap and putting it back on, it starts

@@buenobarronFunk Ok, so it was the Valvetronic motor, when it goes bad it throws a lot of codes. I replaced it and now I've been driving my car daily.

Regarding interpreting data: the so called "valvetronic sensor" is really 2 identical digital magneto-resistive sensors in one module. It's made by NXP and part number is KMA200. You can look up the datasheet. It talks to DME via SPI. It's a good fun to go through the datasheet.. Because it also measures temperature and exposes it together with angle data (it's unclear if DME cares about it though - most likely not). It also has some self-diagnostic features and reports it via error bit/flag. It shouldn't be too hard to write a protocol decoder for Sigrok, so you could read it with one of those cheap USB signal analysers. Not sure if it'd be of any use though - DME reported codes are usually enough to diagnose faults.
