I just bought this model a few months ago and it's a beast so far but man, saw this coming when I was doing my research so thank you

Thanks! I’ve had the same issue since day one and the dealer wasn’t able to fix it. Now , 17 years later I’ll give it a shot myself.

Thank you so much for this vid! Have a 2006 CR-V and for the life of me couldn't figure out the door locking issue and then noticed periodically the trunk light would flicker. Solved it all in 5 minutes. Thanks again!!

Also had this problem on my 2005 model, I just sliced about 15mm off some rubber pipe that was a snug fit over the end of the switch and have had no more problems since, this works well if the adjuster won't adjust back far enough, good video to let people know where to look.😊😊

Great video, been having this issue for months, honda put some foam on the latch but it only worked a short while and your fix touch wood keeps the alarm from going off many times.

Cool man, my 01 CRV has this issue and at first glance appears to be fixable in this way but when I actuate this switch the light doesn't go off on the dash? Could it be the switch for the glass? Where is that located?

That’s what I believe is my issue currently on my 2002 Honda CRV EX

Slide forward didn't work but I sliced a piece of furniture pad with adhesive on one side, stuck on the switch. Problem solved. I think that the spring inside the switch bar just got weak.

Wrapping electrical tape around worked for me

I gave a thumbs up because you have a good video, but it as a how-to for adjusting the light switch, not the door latch (which is what I am looking for). Thanks anyway.🙂

@@FixinBugsNStuff that plastic switch that allows the car to know the trunk is closed. I found one at the junk yard but didn't know what it was called
