I have a honda rebel 250 cc and its 5 speed and itll do the full 85 it says it will and it doesn't struggle up steep hills great bike I love it great for experienced or beginner riders mine is kinda peppy cause of the work done to it.

Good news to here Sean digs this bike. I live in south Jersey and it looks exactly like this where I live. Most limits are 50 mph so this thing would be right at home here. I've been looking for a commuter bike and now I found it.

after a few weeks or riding.... yeah a bit more power would be nice... every time I accelerate I miss the power, but that's for like 10 seconds... then I'm up to speed and it's the same as everything else... except I'm getting 88mpg... I also notice, not even cranking it, I accelerate faster then every car at a stop light.... so i mean... idk... If i had the power I'd use it... then I'd use it again and probably die.... so the honda rebel will be mine for the time being and I'll get my fun out in the desert with the CFR450

Many years ago I had a Rebel 250. The only thing I didn't like was it was buzzy at 60 mph and the passenger seat was way too small for any passenge to be comforstable. Now that I'm old and just sold the last Harley I will ever own (my last one had four break downs within the first year of ownership) and my wife has some very serious health issues and can no longer ride with me, I just want something to go for a short ride once in a while. and I find myself looking at the 250cc Rebel again. I think I'm going to buy a 2007 with only 1700 miles. I plan to buy a small Puig windshilrd, just a little larger than a flyscreen and I plan to change the rear spocket from 33 teeth to 30 teeth. This should lower the rpm a little and help relieve that buzzy feeling. I am 70 years old and we have ridden well over 300,000 miles on motorcycles, but at this point I think a 250cc Rebel is all I need. I don't want a single cylinder or a V-Twin. I like the parallel twins for their smoothest. Thanks for the video.

I had a Honda 75 dirt bike for my first bike and it would do 51 miles an hour. My cousin had a Yamaha 250. I remember him letting me test ride the Yamaha 250 when I was a teenager. That 250 felt like a Chrysler 300 with a Hemi after riding my Honda 75 everywhere. LOL

The Rebel 250 has 5 speeds. I have owned many mopeds, actual '70s style pedal mopeds. Both single speed and 2 speed. Stock they top out at 30 mph. I have had the Rebel up to 85 mph+, on GPS. I have been on 5,000 mile trips on it, on interstate highways, at full throttle. It does it just fine. I rode through Texas on interstates with an 80 mph speed limit and kept up.

It's not the best moped ever, it's the best Big wheel ever! 18" Front tire with a 15" rear, that is why it is so stable, it has a 'Big Wheel' in the front.

reckless. No protection gear, no setting your mirrors, counting the notches on the speedo rather than looking where you are going, cutting corners in turns, etc. You should take an advanced rider safety course so that you can learn how to ride a motorcycle. You might also not want to drive that far and fast with the choke all the way on. 4:55

Yeah , they are easy to ride. In 2 days you will be ready for the road. First learn your gears for a couple of days so you dont get confused out on the road. Practice practice practice.

6'2 195lbs 19y/0, I have a 2007 rebel 250. Depends on the type of riding you want to do. It is amazing in the city, I make around 60 mpg and shifts smooth as day. Rattles like a paint shaker once you hit about 65 on it though. But it is a very, very good learner bike. You get to know what riding is on one of these, very forgiving. You may outgrow it in the first month and want a bigger faster bike (like me) or you may never outgrow it. BIG plus side, I came in 0 experience, don't own a house (college kid) no tickets or accidents, and only pay $13 a month on insurance and I'm covered up to $300,000. Can't beat it. Basically what I'm saying is you can't really go wrong starting out on this bike. Hope that helped

I rode a triumph rocket the other day. Felt like a moped after my 200+ RWHP gsxr 1000..... Alright, the torque was nice. (now yeah, i'm exaggerating, obviously, but it was much, much slower than i expected a 2.3L monster to be) Then again, i have an eliminator 250, and the thing is seeing more asphalt lately than the gixxer...so that's that, lol.

When I was 28 I bought a Buick LeSabre NEW. DId I give a shit if some people thought it was an "old man's car"? No. I got Cadillac like comfort for a great price. I turned my 2000 rebel into a Bobber and tuned it and put after market parts on it and it will fly so don't talk shit on the rebel and I've had mine up to 100 I've destroyed shadow 750s on it 😂 and it's 5 speed buddy! With the choke all the way up on top of it?! Learn about the bike before you review it.

Yes it got up to 85. I just get it up close to red line each gear till the last gear, then it gets up to 85 mph. I think i might have a video on it, but i dont know. I sold the bike last year.
