About how many miles can they go up to?
@gilberttosanchez3 жыл бұрын
@@gsus1245 these can get up around 300,000 I’m guessing because I’ve seen the AMG versions with like 250,000. My dad bought one for $4500 with 160,000 and the only thing we replaced were the motor mounts. And if you see a bunch of electronic problems, trust me on this, it’s just a faulty alternator or the battery.
@MugatuJag3 жыл бұрын
These are incredibly reliable, the 2003 through 2005 with a 5-speed transmission is a bit more reliable, if you want an E350 try to get a 2008 or 2009. One of the main issues of these cars is the coil packs and spark plugs, in 2006 when they put the 3.5 L engine in there they had some balance shaft issues and then it was the first year for the 7 speed transmission in the V6 models

Affordable 😂😂😂😂 Yeah their affordable alright until you have to have mechanical work done on it which isn't cheap and not to mention car insurance for a Mercedes will be through the roof ( even for older models) just for have the Mercedes name 😂 unless you are a doctor, lawyer, pastor or a big office CEO I wouldn't even bother trying to get one don't get me wrong they are great cars but they are also a huge financial responsibility if that makes sense.

Very nice tour and commentary. (7:50 - "You get a nice angry German woman wondering what the hell you want" - LMAO!!) Great selling point: "Condo car" to throw in a garage. If I was a 'snowbird', I'd be on it in a heartbeat, but I lived in SW FL 5 years as a young man and have no desire to sweat that much ever again - tho Naples is as nice as it gets for SWFL. I would be gone before daily temps got over 85, meaning I squeeze in 1 or 2 months a year there - lol

Balance shaft gear failure and SBC brake issue on earlier models. Fuel tank leak (smell if you top off completely). Intake manifold plastic flappers break. Trans connector oil leak can cause havoc with the trans computer. Oil cooler leak (no biggie). All things you should be aware of if you are not a hands-on person. Trunk rain seals fail, will flood your trunk (and fried my Nav) 😢

@@K1LL3rAzn like how much
@K1LL3rAzn2 жыл бұрын
@@d3m0niccity I have a 2006 e350. I was one of the unfortunate ones that had their transmission's valve body (problem made the car go into limp mode - could not shift gears on the road at all, rough-shifting when going from Park to Drive or Park to Reverse, vice versa, RPM goes up to 6000 RPM bc of that...) & engine intake manifold replaced. The replacement for the valve body was about $2500+ & the engine intake manifold was $1800+. Total was about $4400 for these 2 major repairs. Not only that, but these models & engines have an infamous balance shaft issue once you reach 170K miles or even earlier. Cost to repair is also in the thousands I'm hearing. Not sure how to prevent it but I'm planning to sell this car well before that happens. Can't tell if the repairs I ordered was a ripoff or not but the work was done at an independent Benz repair shop, car drives great now. Dealership probably woulda scalped me harder. Mileage is at 113K. Mind you that my family did not service/maintain this car like a good benz owner should so I can't really tell you if it was 100% bc my family did not take care of it or if it's bc the fact that these models were just made terribly. Look up "Mercedes E350 2006 problems and you'll see a few forums with people that had the same problems with these models, specifically past 2006 models. NEVER KNEW WHYYY MB never issued recalls for these problems. Terrible consideration for their customers... All in all, if you want luxury go for Lexus, not Benz... Benz repairs will make you go broke. I'm planning to sell mine while it's still good. Sorry for the long speech, but I'd advise to stay clear of Benz if you're an avaerage Joe wanting to have at least $1 in their wallet. I would recommend the 2006, and later models, of Lexus IS 250. Look around facebook marketplace or reputable online car sites. They should be going for around +5K. It ain't no Benz but it'll save your wallet due to less & cheaper repairs
