Thanks so much for this video, it's always nice to see it done by a pro prior to attempting on your own. Mine went very smoothly with minimal frustration and no broken parts. Not sure if it actually helps but I was able to give a shot of silicone spray right at the clip's, seems to help Pop them loose.

Where and how do I find the small panel with a hole for the dic buttons. My 2012 Tahoe ppv doesn't have one.

Some GMT900 trucks didn't come with the DIC buttons option, like Tahoe police editions. So you would have a blank trim piece without the cutout for the switches. Cheapest route is a pull your own parts salvage yard and looking at used 2012 Avalanche, Escalade EXT, Suburban wrecks for matching trim color. New would be your local GM dealership, but do NOT give them your VIN (as you're not supposed to have it the part won't come up on their parts list by VIN).

Hey, great video first of all. Will a bad switch cluster cause an intermittent issue of the display going black? It went out on me and I smacked the dasbyabove the switch and it turned back on lol. But more frequently the display blacks out.

Thanks. I believe your question is whether this display switch can cause the DIC display within the cluster to completely blank out. I'm not aware of that being a common problem and would suspect the instrument panel cluster as more likely. But to be sure you would have to do some further diagnostics by removing the trim panel in order to disconnect the switch and see if the problem persists (some lower trim trucks of these model years do not even have the switch).
