Your bike sounds exactly like my 2007 700cc Arctic when I start it. I have had trouble since late 2017, it was the 4th year running with the same gel battery, durabatt brand never had an issue until then . I noticed the battery draining when the bike was parked. The battery would still charge at the time on the charger. Started getting volt message on the console when riding. Battery would loose power even after a long ride, I would have to boost the batttery to start the bike after stopping and turning it off. Changed the voltage regulator near end of season in 2018. Bike still gave me problems starting , changed battery, still draining when parked. INstalled a battery disconnect switch. NO more battery drain. I think is was the clock draining the battery. Ran good all of 2019, this year my battery is not holding a charge or rolling over the engine, unless I boost it. I get 15.24 voltage reading when the bike is running, and when the bike is not running the battery will drain down to 9 and 8 volts. This is a YUSA14x 220 CCA. I am now replacing that battery with Napa, made by East penn (Deka ETX20H 340 CCA. I won't be up at the cabin for another week to install it. I hope the bigger amps will get rid of my hard starts.

Man that's how my 700 does too. Finding stuff for this quad has proved very difficult. Has anyone replaced the high tension lead and spark plug on the 700? I can't find anything on it, not for the 700 anyway

Hello, thanks for your time. Last year I bought an artic cat 700 efi. Last week my voltage regulator burned out, so when I took it out I noticed that some wires were not connected. The 3 yellow regulator cables are joined to 1 yellow with green cable, another with yellow with orange and another with yellow with red (they are the ones that come out of the stator) The strange thing is that there is a yellow and brown cable that is not connected... I also found a black and red cable. Do you know where I should connect them? thank you

Did you ever diagnose the problem? My 07 was hard to start once I changed out the starter I’ve not had a single problem with it

Pull the plug wire boot off see how much wire is showing. Cut the insulation back bout1/8 inch then jam it back in. Replace the spark plug because by now with all the cranking its probably soaked pretty bad. Should clear it up.

Are you using an AGM battery? That'll help with your issues with capacity as well as handle deep cycling without depleting lifespan of battery.

I had the same problem with my artic cat side by side. I ended up taking my LED and my orange blinking light off and never had a problem again.
