Iv got 2008 r1 4c8 gave just ordered the same exhaust waiting for it to be delivered but now seeing this video I may be disappointed in the sound 😢 but worrying about taking it apart love the sound of yours now tho I think that’s the sound I wanted

OK thanks for info I am thinkimg of getting same pipes and was going to ask if its been de catted but it has so thinkimg after watching this I might get doffent exhaust those pipes so expensive here in uk don't fancy paying 700 pounds or so for the bike just to sound like stock and defo won't be mucking around with brand new pipes taking out rivets and stuff thanks for the info

Were mufflers heating up too much after removing packing? Did stickers fell of from heat? For how long did you drive your bike on this setup?

I'm owing rsv4 rr 2015 and I bought akrapovic carbon slip on, bike is decat, silencer out and bike is still too quiet so i'm thinking about to take packing out but i'm worried about heat..

hey buddy, no issues at all!!! cans didn't heat up and no problems... I'm still running it till this very day... best thing i did... its been years buddy..

Dude I've got the same bike, same color, same exhaust (3/4 yosh) and am totally disappointed with the sound. Almost stock sounding. You think I can get mine apart with the exhaust having been on there for a few years? Appreciate the video btw.

I absolutely think you can get it apart... it wasn't bad... ya just gotta go slow and take you time... I know I babbled a lot in this video... but i think i covered everything on how to take it apart... it sounds way better.... I still have the bike... still sounds great... with no issues.. hope this helped... if you come across any questions, don't hesitate.

The "Y" pipe was part of the 3/4 exhaust... The header pipe is stock though...

Rickardo Napoli I’m not really sure... did you try googling it? When I first put these pipes on they sounded good!!... I just wanted my bike louder then what it was.... so I went on a mission to remove the packing... it’s been a few years now and I have had any issues at all... I still have the bike and she runs and looks mint 👍🏻

I haven’t done anything else to it… I did go down 1 tooth in the front a couple years ago, which I like… The bike is still nasty to this very day, only got about 14k on it…. It’s pretty sweet lol
