Thanks to my day job at Kelley Blue Book, I drive and review lots of cars. I also own a car, a 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L trim with more than 100,000 miles on it. More accurately this third-generation (2006-2011) CR-V is my wife’s car. We bought it to carry our family around after our daughter was born. After several years we have a good sense of our 2008 CR-V’s strengths and weaknesses.
One obvious shortcoming is the engine and transmission. It’s always been reliable but with only 166-horsepower and a 5-speed automatic transmission, our CR-V is slow. On the other hand, the interior is stupendously practical offering tons of cargo space and convenient sliding, reclining, and folding rear seats. In this video me, my wife, and daughter discuss our used Honda CR-V, why we like it, what we don’t like, along with interior comfort, child seat installations, safety features, and styling.
And just so the premise is ultra-clear, this is not a comprehensive review but rather a casual look at the 2008 Honda CR-V, while I live my normal life. Simple. Fun! #MicahDrives
