I had a 2 door 3.8 a few years ago in Dubai. The car is trash off the box, but as soon as you remove the fuses for traction control, stability control and abs (which normally are far too intrusive), it transforms into a BEAST! It'll dune bash all day long and it's INDESTRUCTIBLE! Seriously, I tried to break it but I couldn't.
@KyleLiongCars

Few points coming from a BK owner: We did sell the V6 variant locally, if memory serves me right coz there were two variants available during the time we bought ours. It was only later on in its life cycle that it only became available in the diesel variant. The constant beeps at 4:18 are most likely from the TPMS. That can be checked in the OEM stock head unit of the facelift models. The deeper center console cubby has an aircon vent for cooling stuff, which is definitely a quirk. The second row seats also have struts that avoid it from slamming down, in case you fold the seats forward. (Warning: Very difficult to do) The rear aircon SUCKS so bad, based on my experience. 1 and 2 positions are barely any different, which is why I leave it at 2 most of the time when I sit at the back. Also, sometimes, when adjusting the front thermostat, the air circulation sometimes turns off, which is kinda annoying. Iirc, there are a few power outlets at the back (for car chargers) and a few cupholders as well. Also, it's funny how you say that it felt like a sedan on that jump because with my driving experience, the ride felt stiff, even if I was the driver. (Probably because rally pedigree hahahaha) P.S. Next time, try reviewing the diesel variant. It should be a totally different experience with less power and more torque.
@KyleLiongCars
@KyleLiongCars 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for all these. Really helped with my understanding of the car. The ride was probably because, as mentioned, it has some Bilstein shocks installed. The struts for the 2nd row I wasn’t able to mention, but yeah I saw that. Similar to the CK hehe The beeping was because the car has a Christmas tree dashboard and probably not just a TPMS issue hahaha! So many faults in this car like ABS, traction control, etc

@@mattsee45 Sir good day. Is there any chance to ask you a few regarding a Gen 4 Pajero? We are excited to buy a second hand Gen 4 but we don't know any person who owns one whom we can ask some key points in owning a Pajero. Thank you.
@mattsee45
@mattsee45 2 жыл бұрын
@@mermaidinamanhole5796 well since we don't run ours for long distances, the car is relatively long-lasting, given you do your regular services once a year. Also, keep watch for the gauge cluster because it can sometimes make an annoying chime that doesn't go away even after starting the car. And don't expect anything good from the 3rd row seats since it's a mid 00s design without headrests, and can't fit even a kid. These are just some of the things I started to notice after writing my previous comment above. Everything else is as practical as an SUV can get, provided you take care of it well.

Tbh the pajero ck looks much better outside because of its bulging and rally-inspired design. Mmc made this one look more mature and conservative, even with the late 2014 facelift model that looks the same until now. We have that tho not a fan of it. I wonder why but regardless it's no match for the 2018-up j150 prado, as that one is on a different level when it comes to rugged exterior design.
