2008 Toyota 4Runner Fuel Pump Fuse & Relays

This clears a lot of things up, lot of conflicting information out there. I’ve been trying to install a fuel pump but am uncertain where I should tap into. Do you think it would make sense to try to to install the switch after the fuel pump resistor or after the circuit open relay? Or neither? Thanks for any ideas you might have. I live in the worst state for car theft, someone broke in to my 2008 rav4 last week but was unable to start it fortunately

Ya...I watched it several times and didn't hear how the EFI relay gets activated...since its the main control to the other relays, it seems important.... So just wondering

So if you pull the first 20A fuse you pulled, the fuel pump won't have any power right? I'm curious if pulling that from the fuse box will act as a defacto kill switch. Would this cause any problems vs just installing a kill switch?

Man, thank you so much for taking the tine to do this video, very helpful. Question, The big A/Pump ( EFI) 50A or some cars has 60A, I need to take the fuse box apart to replace it because the fuse prongs are screws in, do you have any instructions on how to take the fuse box apart? My car is 2007 Lexus GX470. Thanks !

I have a 04 4runner 4.0..u can start it with starter fluid everyday and as long as u don't turn it off more than 3 hours u can drive and restart no issues..but after being off more than 3 hrs it needs the starter fluid again.. any ideas..ive done the realays and fuses but nothing..i never hear the fuel pump running...could the pump be dead but open position

Question cuz im a little confused, so I want to turn off my fuel pump so its not pumping fuel when I turn the ignition on, do I have to remove the fuse and the 3 relay or do I just have to remove the fuse so the fuel pump wont pump fuel?

my 04 4runner has intermittent starting problem, sometimes it starts and when I drive for about 15mins and I shut it down it wont start back up, no check engine light on the dash when in on postion, took it to toyota dealership they replaced battery, replaced STA relay, replaced IG relay and EFI relay still didnt fix it, now it stalls while Im driving it happened twice in 30 mins, Im thinking Im loosing power on the fuel pump causing engine to stall? you think its the COR or the Fuel pump relay? thanks

Thx 4 the tips, even tho everything checked out good on my end. My prob is that when turning over the key to start the engine, the starter keeps cranking the engine even if you let go of the key. To make it stop I have to turn the key to the off position. 🤔 any thoughts? 4th gen 4Runner.

@@alyssaroxs531 I had AAA tow to a mechanic who ended up re setting the ECU & reprogrammed the keys. It went into a theft mode & shut off the fuel system he said. ??? It works now 👍🏼

So I got code p0420 bank1 and p0430 Bank 2 I don’t know what to do? Or parts to get. Can u help me 2006 toytoya 4Runner 4.7 v8

Do you know what would be causing my 10amp ignition fuse to keep popping? Sounds like a short somewhere but not sure where to start.
