My 2008 Harley nightster is doing the same thing and at first I thought it was the motor mounts but apparently front and rear are still good

Yep, it is normal per what everyone says. Depends on how much you can take it.

They all vibrating like that i can't see anything unusual...

Yeah, come to realize they all do so at certain degrees of severity. I was really feeling it in the handlebars at idle. I traded her in for a true 1200 and the idle vibration and the ride is way better.

@@stevofish7Hi, can you explain more what do you mean by "true 1200" just curious. Im new to Harley and my sportster shakes like yours

The 2009 had the 1200 moniker on the air intake cover, but after reviewing the VIN, I discovered it was an 883. I had no idea if it ever was upgraded to 1200ccs by having the 1200 kit installed, but I kinda thought that may be the reason for the excessive vibrations if they did install the 1200 kit. I also replaced the front motor mounts, but that did not help. I had no idea about the Harley vibration issues until I got the 2009, but thankfully my current 1200 is much better and I'm enjoying the ride!

@@dawidgogacz Levels out at higher RPM. At least mine does. Their kind of hopped up, peaked cams. My plugs were white ( to lean on fuel ) A tuner ( Vance and Hines ) fuel pak 3 smoothed mine out a lot. 08 1200, goes like a raped ape.

To me it's running like the IAC control valve is plugged up. A good cleaning with Throttle body cleaner should solve that. Maybe 20 minute job on the high end. Lots of KZbin videss on how to do it. Two Wheeled Rocco has a good one.

Thank you for your suggestion!! I already tried that but maybe not thorough enough. I'll prob take the control valve off to ensure a good cleaning!
