2009 Infiniti G37 clock fix & Dash cam power up delay fix

Clock: This is very easy fix if you have soldering iron and should work with any Infinity that has similar clock; So 2 small LED bulbs (whichever color you prefer. Blue in my case). NOTE: Both LEDs need to be connected at same time to work, since they are on same circuit, and if only one connected it wont light up. I tested by connecting clock to car while it was apart, and just turn on your headlights (without starting the engine, or ac/ignition), than just connect LEDs in the right polarity of course, at same time if you have 2 hands. The way to solder those there is simple: Bend leads 360 degrees at the base, so they face the center of the clock, and cut the leads proper length, so both LEDs are located on very corners (otherwise they wont fit under the clock housing, since we using bigger sized LEDs than original).
Rexing Dash Cam issue: The cigarette lighter delay was for the following reason: I have Rexing dash cam, and it should turn on and start recording each time you start the car and power goes On to the outlet; But starter would steal most of the the voltage, and camera got confused, so 80% of the time it wouldn't start. So I added delay module (NE555 DC 12V Delay Relay - eBay) to my cigarette lighter outlet, which gives power to it after 5 seconds (after vehicle is well started), and this was perfect fix. Just cut off leads that go to the actual outlet, and put the module to be like a 'middle-man' for it.
Sorry, my English is not perfect, and when on the video I said 'Philips screwdriver' couple times - I meant 'flat' lol. And I don't take videos from my phone often, so this won't be perfect...

Thanks for the video. FYI, when you remove the panel your airbag light will come on. Thanks to the good lord that there’s videos on here that show you how to reset it.

Thanks :) not the best video, but I noticed nothing was available on internet, other than sticking new LED bulbs in, with wires attached.. which is kinda non-sense, when there available circuit on that board

@@videosByRuss, yeah... I posted a video a while back about it too. I found that the LEDs would work if pressure was applied to the top. That led me to believe that the surface-mounted LEDs had just failed internally. I removed them and replaced with micro LEDs, similar to what you did just with smaller diodes. Worked great!

@@cmscott Yes.. my LEDs, I would not call micro lol.. because they like 5 times bigger than original. But the light it emits is nice. Diodes also I didn't bother... since they would not fit there.. nothing happened after about 6 months. I mean, I assume the clock would probably have the main board go out if LEDs were to short-out.. which is no big deal, since I was considering buying used one for $100 anyways before this fix... I don't think clock will effect any electronics in the car, since we have fuse for stereo unit alone

Rusty S thank you! I have got a problem with the clock too. Light keeps blinking and often is off. Do u think the led needs to be changed simply..?do u think the factory led (same color) would be common? Lastly do u think dashboard would be fixed back exactly as i have bad experience with dashboard not fixing perfectly and having sounds here and there. Appreciate your support!

@@majidkhair I had same issue with blinking, or dimmed so bad that at night can barely see anything. That's like 99% your issue. The factory LEDs suck, and made from rubber on top LMAO. If you end up putting it back together wrong... you won... LOL cuz you can do it one more time like me.. (I put clock hands wrong) :)
