The 4.6 liter engine from lexus was one of the best lexus V8s that i have ever heard in my opinion, but it's sad that lexus dosen't produce this engine anymore.

ive driven a couple of these at my work, i just drove one again today. definetly my 2nd favorite LS after the LS400 ofc. so comfortable and so smooth.

I have this done to my 08 ls460 and I love it. It's not even to loud for long trips me and the wife have taken it for 3 hour road trips and its not even that annoying. It does have a mild drone from 1500-2500 rpms. But I still love it. I might be going louder eventually though.

I got an 08 GS 460. You think I'll sound the same since they both have the same 4.6L engine? Not sure how the exhaust is set up underneath my GS from the factory compared to an LS, though. So literally all you have to do is tell a muffler shop to cut off ONLY the muffler and you'll get this nice sound? I'm at that age where I don't want to sound too annoyingly loud and obnoxious, but still want to hear that V8 haha

@@HTX-pk6mu not really but kinda. The Ls460 is dual all the way back where as the gs460 Y's into a single pipe in the middle of the car then Y's out to the mufflers. There should be some videos of a gs460 on youtube tho

Great job guys it does sound awesome but the drone got old for me only at at low rpm's. I mostly cruise so it dronesssss alot. Shop i go to saved me, add glasspacks drone dropped but still has that rumble.

You do not want a 2007 Ls460. Those first few years have major problems that are very expensive . 2012 is the best year for them. 2004-2006 Ls430 is the best car ever built . I have a 2017 LS460 which is also the last year for the LS with a V8 zero issues to speak of .

IS that thing in the middle a x- or h-pipe? Looks like a huge crossover part...should get rid of that and replace it with a thin h-pipe or no crossover imo. 🤷‍♂️ And again: if you did a POV driving video with each exhaust your channel would be perfect! Thumbs up either way, sounds nice. 👍

That sounds great. Definitely like how V8's sound with cats and resonators still on, nice and clean. But of course there's always times where that brutal straight piped sound is good too, just probably not for luxury cars haha

I agree. Gotta be a very small h-pipe or no crossover at all, for me. That in combination with stock cats and glasspacks for example sounds glorious. Doesn't matter which V8, but Lexus is up there. I’m positive those wheels ruin the ride quality. I tried out 20s on my LS and it destroyed the ride. That being said, I removed the stock mufflers from mine and it sounds glorious.

I have 21's on mine. Didn't change the ride quality for me I simply obtained more traction and stability because of the wide performance tires I put on them

@@negativeindustrial Haven't felt a difference in comfort on my end with the switch. My LS was sitting on 19's stock not 17's, the only difference I felt is more traction stability and a slight improvement in dynamics

@@dimitriyg6208 Oh yeah, a 1” increase in rim diameter with the same tire diameter will trade a modest amount of comfort for a strong increase in cornering ability. You are correct. In my case, my LS was designed to be glacially smooth on 17” wheels so an increase of 3” will absolutely destroy the ride quality.

See if you can find some sort of tune, not sure if sector 7 is still functioning but that will bring you to 400hp and raise redline to 7500rpm

The drop down rear slides are on all trims. The side depends on the trim I believe.
