2009 Mercedes C63 P30 - One Take

This 2009 Mercedes C63 has the optional P30 package, which features limited slip differential, a sport-tuned suspension, and upgraded brakes above the normal C63 hardware. It's also been customized a bit further by its owner with some exhaust and carbon fiber work. These cars are undervalued in the used market and really worth a look for a performance bargain.

It's funny when you listen to the guy say how it was the Michigan demo car and that makes it sound kind of special and then as soon as Matt says "press car" you realize the actual situation and what that car probably went through. Seems all good though, that's a bad ass benz.

subjectively, i like it a nice mix of the amg gt front and s class back only thing i dont like from new mercs is the stupid sat nav popping out. even my vw polo 6c has a more elegant entertainment system

SKREAMZ I used to like MB but the new ones look so weird and they all look the same?! There is literally no difference between a C E or S class Coupé. But the worst part about them is that they have no character at all anymore...

well tbh theres always been an element of that the 05 E class, S class, C class all share very similar headlights, same with the 99 s class, 99 c class and 99 sl i see what youre saying but it's been happening for a while. i guess mainly because from a business pov why would you pay to design and manufacture completely different special cars every 5 years

SKREAMZ yeah that's right it's got to be cheaper to have them look kinda similar. but from a owner's pov (I don't own one) I would feel fooled when I bought an s class for like 150k and 50k c class looks the same?! I think Audis and BMWs look a lot better and are winning the game for me.

I got a used C63 a few years ago, also 2009 and it was the best car I ever had. Last year I sold it and bought a 2016 Camarao 2SS and I can say I really miss the C63! At the time I was concerned about future repair problems with the C63 engine.

AndreasKuehn that's because going 300kph one would imagine you'd chew into that 500m quite quickly, when before you know it, unless the 63's doing more than 300 clicks he'd be right next to you.

I own a 2015 C63 507 Edition Coupe. I enjoy driving the car mostly on the weekends. Personally I don’t like cars when they make too much noise, I usually don’t hear mine until I place on Sport Plus. The beauty of these cars is you could drive in town on Comfort Setting and when is time to drive on the highway change it to Sport Plus. I bought mine brand new from the show room and it hasn’t giving me any trouble in almost 5 years. I don’t get the new ones yet, not fan of turbos at all. I think this is the last pure breed AMG and it is going to be a sought after in the future. Unfortunately very few will be stock due to people already began to modify them. I will keep mine as factory stock and enjoy it for years to come. Yeah I am a proud purist AMG owner 😂😂

This car is really awesome. Every AMG is is truly masterpiece. Weather u want performance or luxury amg's are unmatched. The only reason for someone not to an AMG would only come down the styles or the price.

The engine size is 6208cc Mercedes class this as 6.3L because it's over 6200cc Similar to racing you can't compete with an engine that's larger then the size restrictions even if it's only very slight. Therefore this engine must rounded up be categorised as 6.3L and not 6.2l

These cars can actually get down if you just switch up a couple small parts too. Change out your bushings for $80 ball bearing, adjustable sways and control arms front and rear, make sure you dont forget a camber plate upfront and a little out back. No need to go all out with kw v3s or anything. Spend $1000 on small things get big results.

Owner is being a bit defensive/optimistic when Farrah felt the body roll. P30s are NOT 1.5" lower than standard c63's. Maybe 10mm or so, give or take.

That airbox weistec sold you is crap. Been there done that dynoed 7 times different temps. I'm pretty sure I lost 2 hp appx. Sold that shit, put in a custom meth kit and a custom xxxl radiator. Car is the most consistent dyno car I've ever seen since. You beef the cooling up and help it out with some high quality fuel forging and these m156s will out down serious numbers every damn time. These engines are built like tanks. Put 100k on mine no issues. I just stopped buying mods after ported/ polished heads, weistec foraged internals and some valve buckets from the sls bs. All I do now is just keep building on that tightening up and cooling down factor. Thing will last you forever.

Last time I bought fuel in Norway I think diesel was about $11/gallon. But the Kroner was at a slightly worse rate then. About 6.9 to a dollar. I can't imagine the price has gone down that much. Maybe fuel is more expensive in the boonies...? I was driving to Bodo from Bergen.

I had basically this exact car (in Red). 2010 C63, P30 with Eurocharged V5 tune. Secondary cat delete. Loved that car so-so much. The P30's suspension is absolutely HORRID. Swapping the P30 struts for stock C63 struts is VERY common.

Not sure I would say the M156 motor is a well built motor. They had head bolt issues 2008-2010.5, Cam/lifter wear, Cam adjuster wear/failure, Injector failure causing hydro lock, Intake manifold cracking and I even see some with crank shaft bearing failure. Other than that its a good motor. :) Why Mercedes made the hood open up more cause they know you'll be working on it a lot. LOL

The only downside to the transmission in this C63 is when you want to down shift, it doesn't allow you to shift when you want to there's a delay.
