Victor! Hope all is well. What happened to all of your other Lexus videos? Without any doubt they were THE best on the internet. I’m praying they will be back. If not on KZbin, may I suggest making them available for download from your own website for $$$. I’m sure many would agree it would be well worth it. (Was hoping to take a look again as a refresher, at the trans fluid change procedure on my ‘18 RX350L). Nothing else online even comes close. Take care.

Hi Viktor...any thoughts on opening the bleeder valve to prevent the fluid from being forced back into the brake system when compressing the caliper piston?...does that do any harm to the ABS at all? Excellent videos...I just bought a 2010 RX 350, you are a tremendously knowledgeable technician to be able to watch!
@Viktor_G_Automotive Жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 Yes, you could open the bleeder when compressing the piston to get rid of the fluid that way instead of forcing it back up. Neither method would cause any damage to the ABS actuator.
@tommyl370719 күн бұрын
The tech in another video opened the bleeder valve did that but I am hesitant as I am scared to let air into the system and dont know how to bleed air out of the system.

great video, thank you. For the Rx450h (2014) .. and good to know I can do this without the Techstream. One question though ... should I disconnect the 12v before starting the procedure on the rears, to stop the pump ?

I’ve personally never disconnected the battery to replace brakes on this model.

Hi Viktor, should I take the cap off from brake fluid container in engine compartment when compressing the caliber piston or I can leave the cap on and just press it? Where will extra fluid go
@Viktor_G_Automotive8 ай бұрын
If the reservoir is pretty full, you should extract some fluid before compressing the piston, otherwise the fluid will overflow. I believe I mentioned that in the video. Afterwards, you can leave the cap on or take it off, there is a vent in the cap that will allow air to escape.

Hi Viktor! I have a 2013 RX 350 and I took to a mechanic to replace the rear shocks. After the fix, I started hearing a noise especially when the speed is between 15 to 25 MPH. I went back to the mechanic to have it fixed and they tried but no luck, they gave up. Before I went to the mechanic, I watched your video from your old channel and if I remember it right, you did put a jack on one of the shocks. I was not sure you did that. Do you that will help my Issue. Let me Know. Thanks!
@Viktor_G_Automotive Жыл бұрын
I don’t think that not compressing the shock before tightening it will cause a noise. I’ve seen guys do it all the time and it never caused any issues other than the bushing potentially wearing out quicker.

exactly what I need. By the way, I’m trying to replace the thermostat for a 2010 RX350, but not sure about the thermostat housing’s bolts torque spec. Could you please help, Viktor!?
@tpp4007 Жыл бұрын
Did you ever replace the engine coolant pipe? He made a video about it before it got deleted. It’s rubber but it’s suppose to be metal now. I replaced mine. There are video tutorials about it. It causes catastrophic engine failure if it’s not replaced.
@Viktor_G_Automotive Жыл бұрын
Hi, the thermostat housing nut torque spec is 7 ft-lbs.
