Since you're a BMW owner there is a lever on the left hand side of the steering wheel that if you move it the vehicle will indicate to other drivers if you are intending to change lanes

When I did mine, instead of hanging the door panel by the wires, just keep the bottom clips in so the door rests on those, and there is still enough room up top to take the mirror out

Hello Isaac and thank you for watching! We did not disconnect the battery but that is the safest thing to do. All the mechanics and electrical components are run through one plug, so we felt that nothing would happen. Cheers!

I have a question. I have a 2012 Ford F-150 XLT. My question is, can I replace my side mirror with ones with the turn signal in them, if my current ones don’t have the turn signal lights. Mine are powered, I’m just wondering if that’s possible or not. Thanks
@ReveMoto5 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes and no. We recommend that you stick with the correct mirror with correct features. There are electric pins set aside fore each feature and if you install a mirror with or without the correct feature may effect the function of your mirror. Good luck!

Hello, I swapped my mirror due to mine being hit off. It’s in on and fine, I just now seem to have some kind of air leakage while I driver at a higher rate of speed. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance
@ReveMoto4 жыл бұрын
Hello. Our side view mirrors and all mirrors will come with a rubber or foam insulation. Your old OEM mirror would also have it on the base of the mirror. You can buy it at the dealership if you don't have one. It can cover the entire base or just cover the edges. Good luck!
@Vonbechtle4 жыл бұрын
What was the bolt size at bottom I wanna buy new ones
@ReveMoto4 жыл бұрын
Hello. It's been so long I honestly do not remember. I want to say they were 8mm but American cars have funny sizes, could of been 7-9mm bolt. It should be a couple bucks at the dealer. Good luck.
@futuretv86863 жыл бұрын
Was that a 22 pin or an 8 pin. I’m trying to figure what mine is. I have a 2013 f150 Lariat.
@ReveMoto3 жыл бұрын
It was the higher end mirror with memory and turn signal. The best thing to do is call the dealership and ask them using your VIN. They will tell you they can't sometimes but its a lie, they can give you the part number for the mirror and with that you can google the mirror with the correct features. You can also call us if you need help to find a mirror, we sell them! Thank you for watching.
@robbieeades19562 жыл бұрын
What size sockets did you use?
@ReveMoto2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robbie so if I remember correctly it’s a 8mm for the door panel to be removed and then the actually bolts on the side view mirror is 11mm. Let me know if you have any issues.

I have a 2012, only power mirror (that i know of) no led lights, just power movement. would anyone know if i’d buy aftermarket mirrors if the leds would work?
@ReveMoto Жыл бұрын
The Led may not work as the wire harness is different if you don’t already have led on your mirrors. You may have to get an electrician to figure out how to change it out. If you need parts for your car go to www.ReveMoto.com

Thanks for the video, but you didn’t show how to replace skull cap.
@ReveMoto4 жыл бұрын
Hello Kevin. That is correct. We sell the full assembly aftermarket and rarely any caps. The caps are usually OEM but to replace that you would need a thin panel clip remover to pop off the cap. It may or may not have screws on the back. We just haven't replaced the cap on this before. Thanks for watching and good luck!

Am I crazy, I thought you would have showed how to remove & replace the broken "mirror"?
@ReveMoto3 жыл бұрын
You're not crazy, the broken mirror is referred to as "glass" in the parts world. But you can just pop the glass off with panel clip removal tools. The glass is only held on by plastic clips but be careful not to pull the glass too much, there may be wires from the motor to the glass for heat features. Good luck!
@northofseven42335 жыл бұрын
Wrong mirror went back on but whatever as long as the owner is happy
@ReveMoto5 жыл бұрын
The customer did not want the correct mirror because the price was much higher. He opted for the less expensive mirror without a feature he needed. I don't recall the feature, it was a while ago.
@IAW8883 жыл бұрын
How to replace just the mirror? Not the plastic.
@ReveMoto3 жыл бұрын
You can pull the glass off gently. It's only held on by plastic clips. Don't pull to hard because there may be electrical connection to the glass.

Why do I still see guys fooling around with a ratchet on this type of thing. I have a screw gun/cordless drill with sockets and extensions and zap that stuff a part in seconds, then shoot it back together the same way.... must just be me I reckon.
@ReveMoto3 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely correct. We just use the most basic tools because that's what our guy prefers. We have used a drill for other videos and it's much easier and faster. Thanks for watching!
@woolval524 жыл бұрын
So the actual mirror can’t just pop off and be replaced? You must replace the entire mirror assembly? Man, that sucks!!
@ReveMoto4 жыл бұрын
Aftermarket mirrors come as a full assembly. Most side view mirrors have replaceable glass (mirror) but they're only available from the dealer. There are some rare models that are sold together but you could probably get JUST the glass from Ford. Thanks for watching!
