Video saved me some grief, ordered that axle nut, slide hammer & a puller. I've never regretted buying tools. Thanks!

Only thing I would’ve added to your video is to apply anti-seize to areas where corrosion is common to make it easier to remove in the future.

Thanks for the video! The one thing I haven't seen on everyone's videos is the removal of the wheel speed sensor BEFORE attempting to remove the wheel bearing. Fortunately I did, otherwise I would have been replacing the sensors too!! Once again thank you very much for the video!

I always try and fix things with the least amount of tools possible. I want people to know it can be done without a garage full of expensive tools. I've got thick skin, it's a requirement if you're gonna make videos. I'm glad I can help, and Thank you for watching!

My car does a tick or grip sound on all 4 wheels when I accelerate after a stop. Do u know what might be ? Cv joint issue? Loose nuts? Or wheel bearings? Thanks , nice helpful video.

Well it could be so many things, from drivetrain to suspension. mounts, bushings, and just so many things. you need to have a mechanic look at it, these Jeeps have all the systems tied together. So once one thing goes wrong it starts making other parts break as well, Thank you for watching!!

Could you use a bearing puller to grab the hub and press in on the axle or will that damage something on the other end of the axle?
@terryfamilyadventures
@terryfamilyadventures Жыл бұрын
Yes you can. we had one on hand just in case, but we were trying to show it with the least specialty tools as possible. Thank you for watching

Do you think it would work if I loosened the hub bolts about a 1/4 in. and then tapped them out a bit?
@terryfamilyadventures
@terryfamilyadventures 6 ай бұрын
Yes. but there isn't much room to get a good swing at them. I've heard of people removing the entire knuckle so they can take it to their bench and give it hell. Thank you for watching!

What's the deal with the axle socket? Is it a 31mm or some kind of specialty socket?
@terryfamilyadventures

I ordered the specialty socket. I'm not sure if a regular one would work. Thank you for watching!

I have an honest question... How did you know that you needed to replace your wheel bearing? What were your Jeep's issues warranting your decision to replace the wheel bearing?
@terryfamilyadventures
@terryfamilyadventures Жыл бұрын
They start to howl and growl. It was louder going downhill. It took us awhile to figure out that the wheel bearings were bad because we had the MT's and thought that the noise was just from the tires. Then we were going downhill slowly with the windows down and we knew that was the problem. Thank you for watching!
