Cool repair PTT. Yea, I noticed that plug on my 2012. It looks to be a little flimsy. Had to remove it when I did my Egr cooler replacement that you told me about your shortcut. I just treat this plug with kid gloves. But it looks good . But now I know how to repair it when it needs it. Thank you for your insight .

I see those sloppy MAF connections (except on my own truck of course) all the time on all the 6.7 trucks that come into my bay. I've often wondered if there'd ever be an issue with one. And now I saw it. I think that connection gets stressed lots from that air cleaner housing being yanked to check and replace air filters multiple times.

I went aftermarket with my air intake and this harness was relocated to a spot that never gets moved. My dad is still running his stock on a 2011. I’d imagine this is going to be an issue for him soon.

Wow. What a super fine job. You take pride in your work. Why couldn't you have sprayed contact cleaner on the electrical connector? I'm just curious. That's what I thought you were going to do but was surprised you replaced the map sensor too. Is it because the contact cleaner will not have cleaned out all the corrosion in the corrosion would have come back?
@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod3 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. I have never used that....thanks 4 watching

Hey ARod, thank you so much for the videos I have learned a lot. I have a 2003 Ford F-250 7.3 with 140,000 miles and I got a P0248 code on the truck. The truck runs good when it’s cold but when it heats up the truck will drop in idle and stall at signal lights. On the highway the truck runs good. I have always maintained the truck and have had it since it had 50,000 miles on it. Any ideas? Thank you.
@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod4 жыл бұрын
That code pertains to a cylinder contribution issue for cylinder 8. Either something mechanical or an injector issue. Pretty weird that it stalls tho...
@toyotajohn854 жыл бұрын
Could it possibly be a bad IPR Valve? I also heard it could be a bad CPS Sensor but I changed the old one out with a Motorcraft one. Thank you.

I have that problem intermittently (like once or twice year) and the code will trip on my '11 (with 132000 on the clock). Unplug and plug back in the MAF, clear the code with the Bluedriver and good to go. Thinking maybe making the repair after seeing this. My question, can an DIY'er as myself do that or will I need to have the computer flashed to see the new MAF?

Your 2015 F-150 5.0L doesn't have a MAF sensor, only an IAT and MAP sensor called an MAPT integrated into one, at the rear of the engine.
