Just to show you what I've done to improve my Tuono over the past 6 months. I've bleeped out the swearing at the end. :-D

Love that bike, never really looked at Aprilia's before, but that looks cool, especially like what you've done with the raised bars. bet its really comfy to ride. I'll be definately looking into a bike like that when my restriction ends.

As much as I enjoyed riding my friend's Street Triple, it never excited me and made me giggle like the Tuono does. The hot starting issue only affected me once and wouldn't have been helped by a dying battery. The lumpiness at town speeds seems to have been eradicated by removing the cables from the exhaust flapper valve so no more troubles. I run it in sport mode nearly all the time now which eases the power in the first two gears. I haven't regretted buying this bike for one minute.

A very Happy New Year to you sir and what a great video to start 2012 off with, well made me smile:-) The red tape makes it look more sporty and shows the wheels off much better than just black, black and black. Ive heard that the original exhaust is better then all after market ones, is this true? Plate tidy is bang tidy and so are the levers:-) Your girl is certainly happy and I don't need to ask where you keep your hand warm LML +1 All the best for 2012:-)

I just got a similar iPhone mount + case for my bike along with a charger. Mine is made by ultimate addons though but looks quite similar to yours. Got mine mounted on my DRZ, will be very helpful along with TomTom! Love your bike as well, Aprilia make some sexy bikes, take a look at their 550 SXV supermoto, it's a work of art.

@123iMV My audio is part of the vio pov HD, built into the connection wire, I folded the wire up and put sponge over it and turned the gain down to 1. I'll be doing a "my gear" review soon. Watch this space...

Very basically, the heavy part of the forks that was at the bottom is now at the top so it's fixed. The moving part is now lighter making the suspension move faster and easier (I'm open to correction here people)

Great videos, your tutorials definitely got me through my mod 2. I've got a question about the tail chop - I've got a Mana GT and you can do a similar thing to tidy up the rear end and show the tyre off a bit more, but how does it effect the bike getting through MOT? Presumably a modern bike should have reflectors in a given location, how will you get around this?

Hi, well filmed! I also want to fit the Mana 850 risers to my V4. Apart from buying a longer brake line and the 2 riser bases is there ANYTHING else to buy to enable fitting? ie longer bolts,different top clamp, spacers etc?

That bike's always been a bit of an iffy one for me. I love the designs of the older generation bikes but I could never make a proper decision about the old Tuono. Yours though is utterly gorgeous! I bet the Akra' has a nice burble to it ;)

@AZZ3R1 Never knocked it up, no. The old T was hydraulic, not sure why they changed but it's a really light clutch with the cable.

Hi, my Aprilia dealer has said that if fitting the Mana 850 risers I need to fit the Mana top clamp also - is that right? This is because he says the Mana top clamp has a different part number to the original clamp fitted to the V4 as standard. As far as I can see you have the standard, original bars as supplied with the V4, as I have. If you can confirm this I will buy the Mana riser bases only, a new 2" longer brake line and that is all. Thanks again.

Reflectors don't need to be in a specific place as long as they're visible from the rear so you could put a reflective strip on your number plate.

Hey, I know you posted this some time ago, but I was wondering if you could elaborate a bit about addressing the lumpiness at town speeds and the exhaust cables. What exactly are they? Remove cables from exhaust flapper valve. Then you won't gave lumpiness .

Nope. All you need are the risers. I used the existing top clamp.
