2011 Kia Sportage SX Turbo HD Video Review

I got one, and I love it. The torque this thing makes is amazing. It certainly puts my old '09 Subaru Forester XT to shame. The SX is butter smooth, tons of torque available at the bottom of the rpm range, feels far more powerful, handles better, and is much more comfortable than the FXT was.

I have a 2011 SX 2WD, I love it. I have spun the tires coming off the line. And yes there is a power port but its in the rear area so if you have luggage its a little hard to get to but plan for that before you load your stuff. Like the video portrays, the rear legroom is hard to beat...

Fair and balanced review. From a Sportage owner of 2 years. Excellent car. But not perfect. Drivers seat is a little hard. Wind noise at high speeds. The front left pillar does restrict view a little.......overall, minor niggles. BTW, get the Techno Orange color. It's handsome, striking, but not garish.

We have a 2011 Kia Sportage SX and we are very pleased with the way it drives. Unless you have a Dodge Hellcat, this little guy will chew you up and spit you out. A lovely, lovely automobile!

Great review. I like these and am keeping an eye on it but its hard to overlook the Rav4 V6 which is quite the beastly little sleeper and perhaps an even better value. I'm not going to complain too much about the price of this in Turbo trim but it is getting a little slap happy. Kia, keep the price down.

6.5 is ok. I get the same as the online tests (6.2) but you need better tires than those OEM rubbers

@BlazerLT If you listen for the price at 4:08 they do start at $27,700 for the Sx model and he does mention the fully loaded one going for $31,200... which is not too far from $33,000. And you don't even get a luxurious interior. I am sorry too my friend =)

@OneOfaKind949 And I am sure you can get this Kia for a lot less than 31k. Plus 33k is for a Base EX which will have nothign and with it fully loaded they go for 38-40k. 8-10k is not "a little bit more".

@BlazerLT Base price is about 35K, however most people are paying about 33k for a base EX out the door... so a couple of thousand more then the Kia. I have done my research. The base EX is still a much more luxurious car then the Kia and you get a 300 hp car with a seven speed transmission.

I love the Canadian comment ahaha :) Honestly though, I'd rather get a Japanese car than a Kia/Hyundai. I had a Hyundai Veracruz, and that car was such a pain. The warranty is absolutely worthless. Dealers will do everything they can to deny your claims, and your only option is to get a lawyer costing thousands! The car that replaced the Veracruz this year is a Lexus RX350. Couldn't be happier with this car! :D

Is there a way to soften the suspension on these things? The common complaint in the reviews of them is the harshness of the ride, so if it has adjustable struts or something, perhaps there's a simple solution to the problem. Anyone know?

It is stiff in order to perform better on turns. Try the Hyundai tuscon 1.6T or santa fe 2.0T and you will understand. (1.6T and Dual clutch is the same as the 2017 Kia Soul and the 2.0T is the same engine in the Sportage)

Pay a little more to get the Infiniti Ex. That's what I would do.
