It was a good video, and it helped me change the screen. But I think it could’ve been better if you had zoomed in on the areas where there were a bunch of small pieces close to each other. It was a little hard to differentiate at this distance. Edit: specifically around the speaker bracket area

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to completely detach the screen from the MacBook and just use an external monitor as the display? My only concern is that I noticed that the wifi antenna cables are attached to the LCD display.

Not sure. Check your keyboard connection to make sure that it's in all the way, the power button is part of the keyboard.

For the 3 screws for the screen is the screw driver you used T6x50mm Or T6x60mm ? Because I don’t want to buy the wrong size again ahaha

Hi. I have a question. I have 2 MacBook’s. 2011 13” A1278 and 2012 13” A1278. Can I use the 2011 screen on the 2012 MacBook Pro? I’d like to replace the complete top case with the lcd included.

I'm pretty sure you can, I heard the connection is tighter on the 2012 though, so you have to shave or scrap just a bit of plastic off to get the 2011 A1278 display connector to fit properly.

I’m getting a black screen when I turn on my computer there is no damage Iv tried everything. There was some corrosion around the screen plugin. Do I need a new screen or am I missing some other issue?

Probably motherboard issue...buy a toothbrush and IPA(Isopropanol Alcohol 99%) it needs to be Isopropanol 99 % because that one evaporates and wont damage your motherboard. After taking the macbook apart pour decent amount of IPA on the corroded chips and parts and scrub GENTLY with a toothbrush...after that pray to God it worked thats the easiest and cheapest way that COULD help you fix your macbook...try to clean all the corrosion if that doesnt help you can try to heat up your motherboard with a Heat Gun (where there were corroded parts) ,until you cannot touch the parts with your fingers and thats the second thing that can help,although that can further damage the motherboard so you only do this after you try method 1...and if all of this doesnt work ,I would suggest buying a new motherboard ,considering you already have working screen,and try replacing it...the cheapest way to buy a motherboard is to find a Damaged Screen Macbook on Facebook Marketplace ,it is the most likely that the person would sell it for less than 100 dollars,and if the screen is broken ,the motherboard should work normally....anyways good luck 😁👌

Yup, but it's glued on, so you'll need a heat gun I think. They do sell just the LCD without case - plenty on ebay.
