Great, thanks. Good videos too. I wanted to add to this, to get a straighter, cleaner bracket: Clamp the piece of aluminum on a scrap 2x4 with 3/4" hanging over, clamp very close to the edge then hammer the overhang with a regular hammer to a perfect 90 degree bend. Then use a center punch to make the holes exactly where you want them and start with a smaller drill bit. For a 6mm hole use a 1/4" bit that gives just the perfect amount of play for this application.

For that difficult Allen bolt, you can use rounded-tip Allen keys (wrench?). They are made so that you can screw Allen bolts from an angle, they work wonders :)

the apexi flange is like 2.95", but you are basically shooting for 3" pipe which is pretty standard.

you put a mini breather filter on it. That is the CBFA engine variant.

it needs a box that seals onto the hood for cold ram effect. turbo engine bays are hot. it could mess with your intake air temp reading

Question, there is a third stock air box connection on the bottom right of the bottom half of the air box that you don't show, what to do with that connection?

i have a 2010 gti and was wondering is there a way to block the hot air? i really want the cone filter but i dont want to lose performance, also i have heard that it could potentially be bad in the long run due to it coming lose and breaking? please get back to me soon!
