Thank you very much for this video. My washer stopped working and the shop wanted $250 to replace it. That was after $145 "diagnostics" charge. Got the replacement from autozone for $36 and took less than an hour to replace. Most of that time was getting the wheel off. Again thanks.

Just finished the job. I replaced the pump and reservoir tank for exactly the same reason as the video, a right front end fender bender. The plastic scrivets were a pain the remove. Luckily, I bought a collection of the them of different sizes including the removal tool. I bought the reservoir tank from Amazon that included the pump and tubing. The whole project took about two hours. Thanks for the great video..

WOW. You the MAN!! Thanks so much for sharing this video. The dealer wanted $500.00 to replace the water tank. The front bumper and headlight assembly has to come off to get to the tank, but this short cut will allow me to repair the leak instead.

Great video! Thank you so much! I bought a rebuilt 2015 CRV with a few things that still needed fixing. It wasn't pumping fluid so I figured it was just empty so I poured half a bottle of fluid in and it all hit the garage floor. So evidently it's either busted motor or loose hose.

I fixed mine today, i thought maybe the fuse - No. Then i thought maybe the pump...... Before i started to undo the wheel arch i checked under the bonnet ( hood for you Americans 😊) and found that the pipe had come apart just before the nearest washer to the washer bottle. Pushed it together and hey presto ! Done ! ✔ 👍 👌 😊

Ok. Id start at the pump. Take the hose off it right at the pump and press the button to see if fluid comes out. If it does then you know you have a clog somewhere in the lines

Honda makes good cars, but Toyotas so much easier to repair something like this. It's worse than working on a Dodge. Toyota, windshield motors easy to get to and replace. It's like Honda corroborated with Dodge on where to put this. Insane. Rav 4, much easier repairs.

I randomly started having issues with my windshield wipers I have a Honda crv 2010 I just got this car so I don’t know much about it , anyway two or three days ago I got a signal on my dash telling me I was getting low on fluid , I ended up filling it two days ago with this fluid my mom made (bought a tablet & mixed it with tap water ) and then since then I haven’t had any flow . I did see Liquid sitting in the area of the shooters but no actual flow . Today I filled it even more with windshield fluid & still got nothing I am not hearing any noise when trying to get fluid , nothing on my rear and nothing in the front . It is very very cold so there could be a frozen pump or line but i don’t know :((

Ok! My situation was a lady pushed a shopping cart in my front right side, I was parked at a complete stop, she was exiting a store and I wittiness it, get out of my car, she is apologizing, I inspected for damages, it was a slight nothing visible, we exchanged numbers. I never took my car for a damage inspection, I can’t remember thinking the issues were related , now, I’m tired of cleaning windows due to the reservoir damaged. I was noticing my window shield would get cleaned to a crystal clean, even using my windshield fluid, but they worked. A detail shop couldn’t get the oily haze off and several car washed and sprayed washing was difficult to remove this slight distracting film. I eventually stated to hand wash the windows with clean cloths and it helped. One day I turned on my window washers and attempted to get the thing to pump washer fluid on the window, nothing came out, I’d assumed it were empty, this was the first time I’d ever had any vehicle on empty washer fluid. I only had jiffy lube doing my oil changes and I started wondering if they accidentally put some oily substance in my washer fluid reservoir, I could figure out why a oily mask on front windshield except something happened. I go to a different jiffy lube and I don’t mention any problems, assuming they would just fill the tank. They inform me about holes in my washers fluid tank. I will be seeing a body shop tomorrow to determine what going on with my fluid reservoir tank. The guy doesn’t want to assume any diagnosis I was told until he inspects the entire unit apparatus. I alway only thought in terms of tank replacement and inside I’m freaking out regarding cost ect, especially when he mention it could be a pump issue😢 Thank you and the commenters for the information because I just recently had to shell out money for registration and smog inspection. I’ve learned to always get a vehicle inspection after someone has hit your car, I don’t know if it’s damage from pot holes or the lady shopping cart impact. She pushed that cart really hard into my car. I’m having issues with battery, been replaced twice in the last 6 months, she hit my car over a year ago.

Great video. I have a leaking reservoir somewhere near the bottom of the reservoir, 2015 CRV. Any fluid I add just leaks out immediately. Could the reservoir be replaced by just removing the body parts you removed in the video? A video I saw for an older CRV, I think it was a 2013, the front facia and bottom pan had to be removed. This was much more involved.

I followed the video, removed the right wheel and pulled back the inside fender using a bungee cord to keep it away from the work area. I also unsnapped the front bumper removing some of the scrivets and was able to make enough room between the front bumper and the tank to access the three 10 mm bolts that hold the tank in place. It was pretty easy after that.

Honda has a bulletin for 2012 and 2013 models about the right fog light mounting flange. It has you cut out a small piece of that mounting flange to prevent damage to the washer assembly from a slight collision. I do not have the complete instructions. For those that do not know, www.alldata.com/en is a good (not free) resource if you do your own repairs/want comprehensive access to your vehicle's maintenance data.

@themechanic61173 жыл бұрын
Simple troubleshooting is connecting a test light to the harness and see if you have power making it to the pump. Then you can continue to diagnose the problem without throwing unnecessary parts at the car. It doesn't matter to me if you disliked the video. Obviously the video isn't for everyone's particular problem
