2012 Chevy Impala HVAC Recirculation actuator motor fix

This is my quick and dirty fix for the recirculation actuator on my 2012 Chevy Impala. I keep calling it the defrost selection, but that is because if this actuator isn't set right for fresh or recirculated interior air, your defrost may not work properly. Which I found out the hard way one morning while trying to drive into work.
The fix is simply a lever arm added around the gear in the actuator. I trim the gear to a shape that makes it lock into the lever arm I glue it into. Then I add a pushrod to move the lever from outside the dash.
There are other solutions such as turning the gear 180 degrees or locking the actuator in place and removing the power. Those are fine for some situations but they don't let you adjust the settings without dismantling the car again.
