Really appreciate these videos especially this series on the golf. I have a scirocco with the same engine and intend on rebuilding it on the driveway this summer. I’ve been subbed to your channel ever since you got the golf. Look forward to seeing part 6. Thanks again for the content.

Thanks for sharing. Going to do the tensioner & chain on my TSI - can you advise where you got the chain kit from please?

I just went on eBay, choose your price, take you pick. 👍

If you are only changing the upper chain and upper tensioner. Do you have to rotate the lower to have the timing marks lined up before adding the upper chain? I currently have the exhaust and intake cams timed and ready to add the chain but I want to make sure the lower doesn’t need to be rotated to be timed although it’s TDC

Upper chain? You mean the cam chain? As long as it’s at tdc, as marked by the crank pulley, crank sprocket and no1 is at tdc. All 3 marks line up on the sprockets.

Listen bud... as far as torque specks... the best way to do it is to just torque every bolt till you hear something Crack and the back it off 1/4 turn and as long as nobody saw you... you're good and when the car comes back because it sounds like someone emptied a silverware drawer into a blender... all you gotta do is blame it on your apprentice.

Not sure what your getting at? My advice would be, if your not sure, torque everything.

There is a video of the mechanic replacing the oil pump chain. Thats the video in polish language but thats not a big issue. All recorded in great quality , step by step. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqmceIeYbdarb9ksi=mvimex_LiTfJ6sxn
