2012 MUSTANG FRONT BRAKES

DOIN' front brakes on a 2012 ford mustang (but covers several years). showing the procedure for replacing front pads and conducting battery maintenance with simple household items.

thank you for the comment Pelon Pelonete, it was a caliper tool, it doesn't work anymore. went back to using a c clamp.

I'm with u on the soda n water, I had on guy kinda barked at me for using it said better to use hot water that said if it gets into the batt cells it'll kill battery, so me I'm just careful using soda n water. Enjoyed the brakes on mustang thx

Thanks for the comment Brent R Larson. water doesn't neutralize acid, would rather neutralize it before sending it all over the place.

When I saw the engine bay I was like “wtf is this engine the guys running?” I tried to think of every reason why it looked like that, I even thought “maybe it’s an engine swap” then it hit me this is the first time I’ve ever seen a s197 V6 engine bay 😭

What is the ratio of baking soda: water you used?

No brake pad lube on the clips or on the brake pads. I hope they didn’t squeak more. Sorry I don’t want to be disrespectful just saying.

thanks for the comment steven8moore. squeaking wasn't the issue. no need to be sorry, no disrespect taken. on some applications I will use the brake grease if provided with the brake pads. these were premium factory replacement pads and didn't come with grease and didn't recommend using grease.
