2012 razor 900 xp hard start issue

If you have a 2012 razor 900 xp thats having hard start issues like its loading up on fuel or sounds like the timing is just really far off its most likely the shaft i talk about in the video coming loose causing a hard to no start or really slow starting issue. It will end up cracking your case and or tearing up other stuff to.

Just pulled mine apart today and thats exactly what it was, took an hour to pick apart and clean up and lock tight that left thread bolt, starts excellent now

any special tools needed to get stator off? Just burnt up my starter after the starter solenoid stuck on which caused starter to spin & burn up till i could get battery cable disconnected. Now im finding all these other issues with the machine so while its down might as well fix it right.

Mine had a few rough starts and now the starter just spins over, hoping this is my issue.

I have a new starter installed, and a good new battery and it still turns over slow and wont start, would this cause a slow crank??

That stud bolt can break. When it does it can crack the block. I know that's what happened to mine. I filled the hole with jb weld and red thread locker on the stud bolt. It's been a few months. Still holding.

Did yours make a horrible grinding noise when starting? Mine won’t start makes a horrible noise when turning over sometimes it’ll start but as soon as you give it gas it dies

No not at all it is just a couple of bolts and then it will pop off but be careful because the flywheel is full of magnets so it is gunna be really stuck on so you might have to pry it off a little to break the seal. Then just pull it straight off. Hope this helps 🤙

no just pull off evenly you gotta fight the magnets. little 90 degree pry bar on the top to start it then you should be able to slide off if not just gotta separate a little more gasket then pull off
