I'm really not wanting to change a heater hose on one of these! I can't find a video for it but it looks like a real pain.

Do you know where the radiator drain plug is on this guy?

It's at the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side. It's got a flat piece of plastic that comes out about a half inch. it's not a full thread, 3/4 turn and it should come right out. If it gets trashed coming out, it's a dealer only part.

what's the name of the connector between the big return hose and the tank ? the one that looks like a clip ???

I do not know the "name" of it. You wld have 2 look up the parts catalog cooling system & look 4 the hose..

tigertomcatf14, oh that was for a little coolant line I just took off. One of the next steps is to remove the turbo air snorkel off and I didn't want coolant dribbling into the TC when I was working.

Sam, probably 2-3 @ probably 100 bucks an hour. Say 400 bucks just 2 b safe

This job is a bitch. Special tools required,i cant believe they didnt key the crank pully and timing tensioner to there positions.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Yeah that was my first thought as that shaft seal is the normal issue in my years of diy fixing cars. My hope it's the coolant reservoir, that seems to be prone to cracking! How can they be making parts like coolant tanks for so long that seem to outlast the car and then switch to some cheaper material or supplier that make this an issue! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4uukKSHrbiFkKM

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod How would do you think a stop leak like alumaseal would work on a shaft seal. I's the only stop leak I've ever used in the past on coolant leaks that seemed to work. Can't remember if any were shaft seals. And I was just thinking after reading a bout a Taurus that uses the timing chain to drive the water pump(WTH Ford?!) why don't the use an electric motor driven pump instead of all this crazy tying into the valves. And almost wonder if retrofitting one would work.? Might be tricky to make sure it didn't fool with timing.
