Wife and I were in Vegas, Caesars palace back in 2005, Drinking and gambling, saw John Daly at the bar. Asked him for a pic. He asked us to sit down, we chatted for a bit he covered our liquor and food bill and he wished us good luck. He was a true gentleman and very humble.

John’s great redeeming quality which people absolutely love him for, is his natural transparency. The man is real. And now he’s coming into a nice time in his life, the best time, the best years of his life, when can now spend some time reflecting upon those great memories of his, those great achievements, which will keep him going forever.

Two of the most controversial (=interesting) guys in the game. Excellent! I don't know when this interview was recorded, but for JD and Feherty both, to be so apparently real, is very nice to watch. To hear, to see. This is a great interview. I have met very few celebrities in my life, but I attended a professional snooker tournament in England in Oct '17. I had Players' Lounge access at that event courtesy of a Mr Mark King, and met many of the top professional players. It was a thrilling experience, especially the time I was given just in conversation by Stuart Bingham and John Higgins. So gratefully appreciative that they took the time, and JD is right, they are also just people too, ah, nice to meet you, and thank you 2 ways for your applause and back at ya for your realness. Cheers.

For me it was easy , you see people love you and want you to live with them. If you're still doing it into your fifties then what have you learnt . Surely you can see the light by then...surely. good luck John

I watched John hit a bad pull drive to the left on the 9th hole, 1998 PGA at Sahalee. A severe dogleg left, John was so far left we couldn't see him from the back of the green. Suddenly, a ball landed about 10 feet from the pin. John hit an 9 iron, 168 yards, around a large tree with a 40 yard draw. He made the birdie putt.

In Doctoral school one of my professors told me to my face that I was the product of a deprived (Arkansas) culture and I didn't belong there. TY for your career!! I remember the 90s well. Beat that cancer! And yea, BIPOLAR is some serious shit. My ex was, and she told me near the beginning and I was like what John said, "Who isn't?" It's hard to explain but she was downright scary at times. She also was on a bunch of meds like Feherty.

you'd have to say with John's lifestyle he would be a bipolar poster child. It's hard to tell whether that "who isn't" comment was non-bipolar ignorance or just bipolar denial. He's certainly never publicly accepted any kind of diagnosis.
