Wow I’ve been driving like that with the lights on for years for many years and after watching this video I looked under my car to see if I had the same sensors and one of them was unplugged so I just plugged it in and Walah the lights are gone!! Thank you for posting this video I would have never known

The correct ohmmeter reading for a good speed sensor will be in the megaohms, I just replaced the good one based on your video saying it should be 600 ohms. You had your meter set to diode tester instead of resistance (measured in ohms). Just thought I'd send this message out to others so they don't make the same mistake. Thanks for the video, at least it made the replacement so much easier.

Ya I forgot what reading it was when I was changing it, I just changed the one that was different from the new replacement.

Good video. Very helpful for when I did mine. 2013 Kia Sorento. Caliper bolts- 14 mm In fact all the bolts involved in this were 14mm. I changed both hubs and it fixed all the lights issues on the dash. Took the opportunity to put new rotors on all around and brake pads. In total, $$$ for everything was lesst than just a single hub replacement at a dealership.

Had the same issue with my 2013 Sorento. There is or was a campaign on this by Kia for vehicles in certain parts of the country because of contaminants getting inside the sensors and causing them to fail. I’m trying to find the link to it. It gives the total repair procedure including torque specs. This video made it way easier than Kia procedure lol. Took me about 90 min. Correct socket size is 14 mm btw.
@darrellkidd51772 жыл бұрын
Yes, very good video; quite helpful. However, you really need to get a good set of Metric sockets, especially if you do a lot of repairs on your car. All foreign cars, and a lot of American cars, use metric fasteners. For some sizes you can use a SAE (standard) socket/wrench, but for others there might be a slight size difference. It can result in the bolt/nut being rounded off.

All 3 of my lights went on in my 2013 Sorento and I was told I needed a left rear wheel speed sensor. I'm trying to get an aftermarket part for the tech who will fix it for me. I went to 2 places and they each offered me 2 different things, one was an ABS sensor and the other was an ABS speed sensor and they both looked very different. I see you replaced the wheel hub. I'm confused as to which part I should be getting him. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dannyjackhammersi have exact car exact problem.. how many of these sensors are on Kia Sorrento? just front of car? Did u check driver side too?
@RitzRT9 ай бұрын
If you've got AWD, then you don't have to take any of this apart. The sensor unbolts from the knuckle with a 10mm bolt and there are a few additional 10mm bolts that secure the wire until it enters the body just above the frame. The connector is under the plastic trim inside the car about half way between the floor and where the lower trim meets the trim on the roof pillar by the door jamb. Just pry that back with a trim removal tool or something like a 1" paint scraper. A couple of plastic fasteners will just pop out of holes in the frame. Be gentle with that or you could break them. You only need to pry the panel up just enough to get to the ABS sensor connector which is right on top. You'll need to tie some twine to the sensor connector. Now disconnect it. Pull the sensor wire out through the hole in the body in the wheel well. Now tie that string to the new sensor connector and pull it back up through the hole to where it connects inside the car. Bolt the new sensor into the hole (clean it out with a wire brush and remove any rust on the top flat surface first. Otherwise the new sensor won't get close enough to the tone ring and won't work. Put the wheel back on and drive.
