Everything drivers do in traffic comes with daily experience. Like I said, theres difference between being able to parallel park and being able to parallel park between bentley and ferrari on street wheres heavy traffic. No-one is expert fresh out of school. Only problem is that if using aid like that you never learn.

Whoever suggest that this is a "copy" from other manufacturers, I don't believe so. Mercedes didn't copy, they just decided to try out the technology and to attempt to make it better.

In real life people don't get to parallel park too often - that means they don't feel confident. Doing the thing in driving school with loads of time, without the risk of damaging other cars and probably without other drivers waiting and tooting behind you is completely different thing to real life.

What did MB copy Infiniti? The rear looks close to a QX56. Also the QX had a 360 degree camera. I don't really need a MB badge, a jeep GC would be good enough for a ml for me. Good video

Infiniti QX56 and Range Rover also have the 360 degree camera (called around view monitor in Infiniti). As for self-parking technology, Citroen already had it in back 2005 :D. In C3 - their cheapest model... So there's nothing to be so excited about, as it is nothing new :)

+Ivan Robert you must be in the car to perform active park assist. if you want to park a car automatically outside a vehicle check out the 2016 BMW 7 series.

This is impressive it's true, But it doesn't compare to Audi's A7 self parking as in get out of the car and it drives itself into a a huge garage scanning the area and finds a parking place. then you just call it and i comes and picks you up. Great Technology For both cars.

I think the park assit is a neat thing. However I can parallel park my 97 blazer faster than that... Just take skills and practice. And when I took drivers ed in school our driver taught us how.

That is fine where there is no traffic but WAYYY to slow for urban Parking, imagine doing that in Lower Manhattan, people might let you space to back into a spot if your lucky but dont think they'il give you a minute to park it

Although I love technology we're obviously pretty close to self driving cars now which is great for those who can't drive. Personally I feel if you cant park a car yourself you ready shouldn't be driving. It reminds me of the scene in Wall-E where in the future we're all fat blobs who cant do anything for themselves.

park assist copied from the skoda manufactuer :) theyr the first that implementet on the Skoda superb and yeti, then WV on the golf 6,passat. now mercedes.
