Can you explain where that elbow is on a 2020 silverado 1500? Its not online anywhere and ive spent the last 5 hours of my Thanksgiving looking for it on the truck and online. Seems everyone else also can't find it according to the gm forums. Thanks man, and great video!

I have a questions. I ended up putting refrigerant from a can that had sealant in it. The AC worked for a day then stopped. Guess the leak was too big for the sealer. But i am told it's bad to use a sealer refrigerant can on a system that has already used it before. I dont if the system has, but should i not worry about it right now? Was thinking of just buying a non sealer refrigerant and hoping it works out.

To everyone that was left hanging on a cliff from this video.. you need to replace your evaporator core.

The Evaporator is the culprit.

How much does this cost to repair typically? I am having issues with my A/C in my 2015 Duramax and the dealership is telling me the evaporator is leaking refrigerant, and they quoted me $7,500 to replace it 😤

Im going through the same thing with my 2018 duramax 🥴🙃

I was told $1600 for compressor issue. I just asked for a quote on that because I misdiagnosed the issue at first and didn't have time for him to look at it. But I can't imagine how fixing a leak would be more than that.

Is it fixable? Can you give anymore advice on it?

Yes.. Pull the entire dash out and replace the part.$2300 should get it done in a day or two.Hope the back isn't leaking.May as well do the expansion valve. Worst part is you need to buy all GM and it will fail again. If your happy with 7 year I guess it's a win. Some people shoot in a sealer, sell the vehicle and let the next sucker deal with it.Bad people out there.

I have condensation leaking out of that rubber tube. Is that normal. It seems like a lot of water at times. Thanks
