2014 Ford Focus ST with no radio. BIG PROBLEM

In this short quick tip, we take David's 2014 Ford Focus ST that has an issue with the radio and we take care of that!!! Also while David was here he told me he wants some upgrades done on this car, so we're going to take care of that in future episodes as well, stay tuned for what we do to this little hot hatch! As notated in the video this is a common problem with the Ford ACM going bad and needing to be replaced. We did exactly that and show you exactly what needs to be done! I tried this with a new ACM that I got off ebay and it still didn't work and did the same thing where when I would press power button it would just be a black screen with the date and time. Any recomendations?

It's possible the unit was bad from where you bought it from. I would recommend reaching out to them and letting them know and see if they'll replace it. Let me know how it goes!

Hey boss I have a 2016 st3 and I don’t have audio nor do my buttons work my navigation stays in the same location all day and I can’t select the media/music source tab , could this be the same issue yall had?

Probably so! Swapping it out is super simple as you saw, and pretty affordable only like 115 bucks on jegs!

Hope you can help me I have a job 2013 Ford focus my radio quit working my okay my trunk button quit working and see what else and then the other day I didn't have no connection with my battery so I don't know if I need fuses the battery or electrical can you please help

Honestly you probably need to have a mechanic look at it and diagnose it. It could be any number of things and without actually being able to see the car I wouldn't even be able to know where to start unfortunately.

It's a 1/4" socket wrench with a 3" extension and a torq bit socket attached to it.

Sounds very much like exactly what was going on here and you'll need to replace it like we did.

I am having a big problem and hope you guys can help. My radio still works sometimes but everything’s going haywire, I’m afraid to drive the car because of loud static, jolts and pops that scare me so bad just randomly driving down the road. It can be so extremely loud and gives me a practical heart attack, also random alerts telling me that trunk is open etc., sometimes door locks going off and on like crazy. I have to drive my car and now when I walk up to it I can hear what sounds like fireworks going on inside before I even open the door and put the key in the ignition. Please help, tell me what to do, I’m afraid of the dealership

Hello Shell! I'm sorry to hear you're having such issues with the car! It sounds like you may have an electrical short somewhere in the vehicle. Based on your descriptions I would highly suggest taking it to a honest reliable mechanic as soon as possible. They could help determine what is actually going on. There's just too many variables to be able to address the issue over the internet. Let us know here what you find out, I'm curious to hear what is causing your issue.

Same here, I had no other option but to drive it. My kids were afraid to ride with me. Eventually it all just quit. I paid 1600 to replace electric system bc someone jumped my battery wrong. And then a year later this!

Wow that is crazy! Unfortunately these radios appear to be very cheaply made and unfortunately just die! Hopefully you can get it replaced and that takes care of it for you!

My mechanic switched out the audio control module, and still didn’t came on

Sounds like everyone here has a dead ACM. only way to fix this is to get it replaced unfortunately. Or hard resetting by pulling the fuse and waiting for 10-15min.

We tried the reset a couple times and the ACM was just toast, after replacing it everything was good, I have seen where a reset occasionally fixes issues as well. Thanks!
