2014 Ford Focus Volume Issue: How to Fix it

Everyone with this issue try this first: pull out the "radio" fuse for 15sec then put it back in (do this with the car OFF). The radio fuse is located inside/under the glove box. Just check your manual to find the correct fuse - in mine I think it was 2 over and 3 up from the bottom right corner. This will reset the dumb Ford Sync - hope this helps.

I’ve got a Ford focus ST2, and same problem as you, and it’s still not working

This same thing happened to my 2014 Ford Edge Titanium 2 days ago so I took my car to Ford dealership. The cost to fix it was $354 parts + $560 labor = $914 YIKES!!! The problem is the ACM (Audio Control Module) which is mounted behind the radio button panel. It is basically the radio but is now a programmable module that needs a scan tool with th eproper software to program the ACM to the vehicle. It is not powering up which is why the display does not change and the voice commands do not work. All the speakers are controlled by the ACM.

That’s what the Ford guy told me, but he said it would be $12,00-$1,300!! I wonder if a stereo repair shop could do this cheaper?

I’ve replaced that and it still won’t do nothing… I can change stations and everything with knob or the touch screen but the volume doesn’t do anything

My music keeps changing by itself every 20 seconds the song plays. Sometimes it lets the whole song play out but most of the time it keeps skipping the song. Any way to fix that?

Im having the same problem. The touch screen is working. I am able to change channels and volume. But there is no sound. My back up beeper doesn't sound as well.

I remember doing that before and it somehow resets everything Also, I didn’t go as far as replacing anything. I think a reset of the seating of the wires to the battery does the trick.

@@Trek.2715 Sometimes I would turn the car completely off by taking out the key and opening the door so the car can fully turn off. Then I start the car up again. Sometimes that will work or I would disconnect and reconnect the battery

Try removing the battery and reconnecting it. That weirdly tends to work.

Go to master reset in settings and it will fix the problem
